Harry Potter Discussion Project/Sign Up

I know this has been done with the sil and lotr, and hopefully the hobbit, but how about if we do it here as well. after all, it could add discussion and interest to the forum, and it would be fun to do. what do you guys think?

good to have new members that are this active. anyway, we can contact a mod/admin and see if they can make a sub-forum like the others...ooh, this is gonna be good...i shall talk to some folks and see what will need to be done to get a sub-forum!!!

so...we will start with the first book, and slowly, but surley, work our way towards book seven. So first off is: who's going to do each chapter? I'm going to do the first chapter (as suggested by durinsbane), and then we can carry on like that. Each chapter must contain a synopsis, however long, and then discussion points to get things moving. Each chapter will last two weeks (or less if neccssary), before we move onto the next one. However, if you want to carry on posting after we've moved on, that's fine.
p.s you can do upto two chapters, if they are closely related for example, or for other reasons eg. 16 and 17 of ps/ss.
note: i'm only going to do the first book first, and then as we get close to the end of that book, we start taking people to do the next chapter. That way, we can plan ahead more in advance in case things come up unexpectidly, and so have to re-assine chapters.

Chapter 1: The boy who lived = jammi567 = sat 17th june
Chapter 2: The vanishing glass = klatukatt (not up, so done by me)= 1st july
Chapter 3: The letters from no one = sun-star = 15th july
Chapter 4: The keeper of the keys = Mithrand1r 29th july
Chapter 5: Diagon Alley = Radagast the brown (not up, so done by serenoli)= 12th august
Chapter 6: The jouney from platform nine and three-quarters = Nurvingiel = 26th august > 9th September
Chapter 7: The sorting hat = durinsbane = 9th september > 23rd september
Chapter 8: The potions master = ireth = 23rd september > 7th october
Chapter 9: The midnight duel = serenoli = 7th october > 21st october
Chapter 10: Halloween = serenoli = 21st october
Chapter 11: Quidditch = Nurvingiel = 4th november
Chapter 12: The mirror of erised = durinsbane = 18th november
Chapter 13: Nicolas Flamel = Radagast the brown = 2nd december
Chapter 14: Norbet the norwegian ridgeback = klatukatt = 16th december
Chapter 15: The forbidden forest = jammi567 = 30th december
Chapter 16: Through the trap door = ireth = 13th january
Chapter 17: The man with two faces = Maranwe = 27th january

Just post what chapters you want to do on here, so everyone can see it.

I have slightly altered the title of this thread and stuck it to the top of the forum.

Please plan the project with your suggestions and volunteer here for chapter assignments.

I think it would be as nice touch, if we could make a link from each chapter below to go to the thread where the chapter is being discussed.

ie.
