I know that I was opening up for this, and perhaps I should have mentioned it in here to make sure we got the details right - I think that must be a more distant ancestor than just Borin's grandfather. We're talking about the Second Age here, which means that what Baru talks about, happened more than four THOUSAND years ago.

I know that Dwarves are long-living, but probably not that long. So I'm afraid you need to change that grand-father into something more appropriate.

And the fun thing is, I didn't make this up for the sake of our Borin. I had already posted about the incident where a Dwarf named Borin saved her father's life, in an RPG on a different board a couple of years ago

I don't know. You never mentioned this before in your character profile, so I'd rather have your character age like ordinary Dwarves. A little stretching is fine, but four thousand years is just way to much. Why don't you just change it to ancestor instead of grandfather? The name Borin may have been passed on for several generations, along with the stories of their deeds, just like the name Durin did.

Was going to get to posting something earlier and got caught up in...ahem...recent big events. Seeing as I am now a dad, it's going to be hard perhaps for a couple of weeks to get anything online-wise done. Just in the nick of time for Christmas! Sorry I've been so absent for a long time. Hopefully I'll make up for it soon. I'm planning on it but don't know if the planning will pan out as I'd intend. One things for sure, these are exciting times!!
