He's three times taller and stronger than all of us. If he didn't want to be pruned he ought to have stopped them himself.

That's also ridiculous. The Teacup Café is nothing but. Most of the threads still going strong here are

Yes let's prune Mari down a bit. Way too tall.

Yeah, that bit has got me thinking, what if Treebeard was in it all the time?! I bet he and the Easter bunny threw a party on Easter and while having had too much to drink, got himself an embarassing hair cut. (tattoos don't take that well on bark, I imagine) Not wanting to have to confess to this when appearing bald in public again on the 1st, he and the easter bunny orchestrated his kidapping and ransom. In which case they would still have had to go through with the pruning threat, despite us reaching the ransom demand, because by that point Treebeard already no longer had hair! That would explain why anyone could ever have hoped to keep a powerful creature like an Ent captive and prune him as well. And why he was released so soon after...

That sounds like an excellent plot, Earn! I do still have some issues with it because I haven't forgotten that you've gone all evil on us and thus cannot be trusted, but it's the best theory yet.

Peppermint tea works great for upset stomachs. What's even better is some peppermint oil in hot water - it's more concentrated. It works wonders. Hope you're better soon!

I trust that is peppermint oil meant for consumption, because I can't imagine wanting to drink those oils they sell for burning or scenting.
