I actually wasn't sure. The translation said 'black', but I supposed that if it's 'sable' in the English version there would be a difference.. But it really doesn't matter then, as it's wrong to the other one.

Actually not on the Field of Cormallen but in that chapter they served the kings; one wearing silver and sable (guards of Minas Tirith) and one white and green.

Errr... I'm afraid my question wasn't explained well. What I meant was, where did the Gondorians , the ones that made the road years over years before it was used in the War of the Ring, plan to go that way.
