"Beautiful day isn't it Carnehillion" Hedrim said with an arrogant smile "make sure to keep up my friend, and, um make sure your friend doesn't fall off I'd hate to have casualties so early on" Hedrim smiled and cantered off to the front of the column.

Laughing, Carnehillion eased into an easy pace, addressing his fellow passenger aboard Bahar, "Don't worry, this horse will carry you far more faithfully than any creature with a fop atop it! And besides, those that break into a canter and take up point at a head of a collum are always the ones that get killed first, in my experience...You're completely safe here."

Carnehillion edged Bahar off to the side, not bothering to keep a collumn, but rather a loose sheaf group, so archers couldn't pick them out of a line.

"Best we not form a column, but rather spread out, so whatever archers or cavalry there might be wont pick us off with flies?" Carnehillion piped up to the group.

Sweet Eru! With all the conquests Captain Oblivious here has supposedly lead, you'd think he'd remember basics...

Nami turned and smiled at Aelfwine.
"Dol Guldur is not my my home but i live in the wood of green leaves, i have before been into Dol Guldur when evil once ruled that area."
Nami smiled as the comflict begain to grow between Carnehillion and Hedrim. Some races can be so funny sometimes, she thought. "i hope a stray arrow does not find Hedrims back, he seems very sure of him self." Giving a friendly look at Carnehillion Nami continued. "especially a friendly arrow!" Nami leaned over to stroke her horses neck. Nami moved her horse to towards the back of the group, where are arrows could protect the rear.

"Seratili, I have prepared a pony for you." Radagast said to the Dwarf. "A horse would a little unwieldly for you, would it not?"

As Radagast waited until everyone was mounted, he addressed the group.

"My fellow adventurers, I trust you all remember that you have accepted to make this journey together," Radagast said disaprovingly as he noticed the tensions already arising between the group.

"And you will find the only people living between here and East-Lorien where we are going, are friendly. What we find when we arrive will be something else. But I suppose I can trust you enough not to kill eachother before we arrive, hm?"

Gandalf, old friend, Radagast thought gloomy when he gave the signal to depart, I have always had great confidence in your actions. However, I do have some doubts about the companions you have sought out for me. Let us hope they prove unfounded.

A white horse with a small lump atop came dashing up. The lump turned out to be a hobbit, smiling cheerfully, perched against several knobby packs.

He looked over the group and settled on Radagast, with confidence. "I'm Bob." he said. "This is Strut. Am I late?"

Laughing Hedrim turned to Carnehillion "Of course your always right aren't you, how could I be so silly" he turned away "you might want to give yourself a shave, hate for it to get caught in a tree" Hedrim smiled at Carnehillion and spread out.

Just then Barli and Hamfast thundered past Lord Bling and into the lead, whooping and raising their tankards!

"hup hup!! c'mon betsy me dear!"

bellowed Barli, putting his feet up and passing a pipe back to Hamfast in the hammock behind him.

Betsy the oliphaunt thundered forward trumpeting happily ... beer kegs piled high on her back merrily swinging as she accerlated forward...

Hamfast puffed vigorously at the briar and gazed thoughtfully at the Company's fast-receding profile as he swung in his perch.

"So remind me, how did you come by this magnificent beast, Barli?"

Barli had another deep draught of ale, and reaching down gave betsy an affectionate slap.

"at's a boy, betsy girl! ..you keep this up and it'll be your favourite fer supper ...fresh mushrooms!"

"Mushrooms. That reminds me of something. What is it?" thought Hamfast.

"Ah! Yes! Mushrooms.!" he exclaimed.

"A fine effort at changing the subject Barly. Ill-gotten, I'll wager then. Still, you seem well-versed in handling her."

Hedrim shook his head as he couldn't even begin to understand what Hamfast and Barly were talking about, he sighed and scanned the area up ahead.

"I'll not lie to you Little master ... it took a little practice..."

*Barli had a sudden flashback of the 3 new "public sqaures" he and betsy had created in Bree...*

Screwing his face up now, he really was trying hard not to think of the Incident with Farmer Fox's prize Bull and the time Betsy had had a bit of an 'upset tummy' ...

Hamfast opted to draw a veil over that episode

"So, I can see you're steering manfully there.

Any notion o' where we're goin'?"

"Mind that bloody elf...!"

There was a squelching sound.

"Oh Betsy knows where she is going ..." said Barli vaguely... rummaging around in one of his trunks on betsy's back...

betsy trumpeted again, flapping her massive ears in happiness.

Barli's head shot up, and he looked like a man stricken...

waving urgently at Hamfast and leaning over closely he whsipered in Hamfast's ear -

"For the love of all Ales ..don't mention the B*U*N shop too loudly!!!"

A string of rather bad elven words escaped Nami's mouth as she was nearly tramped by the massive breast as at ran head long past her.
"What with Lord Bling and that thing we're all be killed off before we reach Dol Guldor!"

Aelfwine steered her horse away from the beast. Whatever it was, she didn't like it. She tried to hide a smile at the string of curses coming from Nami. She glanced at Carnehillion and hoped Hadrim's taunting wouldn't rile him. They didn't need to start fighting among themselves. Aelfwine edged her horse toward him and Ellysa.
"Carnehillion, didn't you say you were from Rohan?" she asked, hoping to distract his attention from Sargent Showoff.

Grinning at the spectacle, and most certainly rubbing his eyes at the site of the Oliphaunt, Carnehillion didn't register Aelfwine's approach.

"Carnehillion, didn't you say you were from Rohan?" she asked

He turned his head and grinned at Aelfwine, "Yes, I've been there for a while, and who knows, I may just have Rohirric blood somewhere in my vast mix of lineage. But yes, Rohan is my home, glad to have a fellow Rohirrim along on this wild chase."

He paused to see if Ellysa was still properly seated behind him, and nodded back to Aelfwine, "That's a fine horse you ride, How old?"
