One might as well say "everything". The answer must be the answer not a broad statement.

I'm not sure (AT ALL - in fact, this is little more than a wild guess), but was it another source book for the information in LOTR - sorta like the Redbook of Westmarch?

Then was it a particular edition of the Redbook of Westmarch? Did it come from Great Smials or Brandy Hall or something?

Yes, Lotesse has the right attitude on this one. No one guessed it and so I'll post the answer in a trice.

Gandalf Val Came The Closest-so He Can Post The Next Question

THE ANSWER:
Not many ancient documents were preserved in the Shire. At the end of the Third Age far the most notable survival was "Yellowskin" or the Year-book of the Tuckborough. Its earliest entries seem to have begun at least nine hundred years before Frodo's time.

What did the Shire Hobbits maintain began on 2 Yule, year 1422 of Shire Reckoning, rather than as others accounted it?

FYI, we can't use Puns and expect people to know/find/remember, the answer. Answers are determined by 'what is in the books'. Perhaps you'd like to rephrase your question.
