S- Silvan Elves
They were of the same origin as the Nandor, but they never passed west over the Misty Mountains. They remained in the Vale of Anduin and in Greenwood the Great. Also called Woodland Elves.

I'm not getting involved with the numbers.

You mean 22 divided on 2, times 2,2

23 - The number of the hobbits who embarked on the quest to destroy the Ring + Bilbo + the wives of Sam, Pippin and Merry + the thirteen kids of Sam and Sam's son-in-law + Pippin's boy

Does someone have the energy to see if this correct?

24 - The Members of the Fellowship from the Hobbit and LotR together:
- Bilbo, Gandalf, Thorin, Balin, Dwalin, FÃ*li, KÃ*li, Dori, Nori, Ori, Óin, Glóin, Bifur, Bofur and Bombur.
- Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, Boromir, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli

(okay, there is actually a counting mistake, because Gandalf appears twice)

This was already mentioned

However I can't think of anything starting with X and being related to Tolkien or his works...

That's because there are no words beginning with X in Tolkien's books

However, there are words which have an X in them.

X - Shadowfax

I was referring to this thread. I don't think it was actually serious, meant rather as humour, or maybe even
Sarcasm!
