Yes, isn't that site amazing!!?? When I first stumbled upon it (yes, I found it by accident ) I was astounded at all the research they had done on all the costumes down to the embroidery and beading patterns on Galadriel's dresses!

I am so glad I found that site; I LOVE IT!

i want some elk ears to! it seems that no body knows where to find them though, oh well... any body know where i can find some nice hobbit feet? maybe there will be a halloween costume with hobbit feet, elf ears, ect.... wouldent that be cool?

some people think that we are over absessed with lord of the rings... ohhhhh well, to bad!

a while back i ordered a nu products catalog, well it came and the 'pointed ear tips' are perfect. they are different than the elfin ears, and on the site they are the smae picture for both products. the catologs shows the individual pics and they don't have that weird curve, ya know? if you order the catlog you'll know what im talking about

I don't know where I read this, but somewhere it said something about how Tolkien didn't want "elfin", "dwarfish", etc. He wanted "elven", "dwarvish", etc. Yeah. What CBG said.

i know it's elven, but in the catalog they write it as elfin. i was using the term elfin to make it less confusing. there are now two different pictures up on the site for nu products. the gelatin ears idea on the costume site is sweet shadowfax, now im making a cloak, and a dress and some ears im so wearing this to the opening of the movie in december!

sorry! i ment to say that before the book, THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING there is a section about jrr tolkien, and on the first page of that (in my book anyways) it says everything about the word elvish and dwarvish! i'll try not to be so confusing, i even confused myself whene i reread that!

Yeah, I read that Tolkien had a bit of a struggle with editors when they "kindly" changed Elvish to Elfish, Elven to Elfin, and nasturtians to nastranians (or whatever that flower is).

Funfunfun! One of my LotR addict friends and I are going to put on a play thingy of combined FotR (the movie) and the VSDiaries of Cassie Claire. Complete with elf ears and costumes, thanks to Shadowfax; we're using that webpage. It's going to be so much fun! I'll see if I can get someone to take pictures of us in costume and try to post them on here, but that's not for another 4 weeks or so.

Stop talking like Yoda we should. Cool he is, but insane we sound.
