Curub, how long does it take for the curse/spell to take effect or for Acalewia to start to feel it?

It's up to you to decide. You might want to have it kick in at a "convenient" moment.
And stop it you two, before I unleash the Firstborn in this thread! (He can't hurt me, because I'm the GM! )

Seems we have reached another halt in the writing process.

Looks like it.
I'm stuck on Acalewia and I can't do anything with my dwarves until Curub replies there.

Could I join? I've just read the RPG and could get a character and post an intro by tomorrow.

Name: Gundir
Profession: Bodyguard Weapons: Double headed battle axe and two short swords. Appearance: Short and stocky. Bald on the top of his head but has a brown beard. He covers up his baldness by wearing an iron helm. Personality: Stubborn and untrustworthy, especially to elves. If he becomes friends with someone he is very loyal, but before that he does not trust any, even if they were related to him. History: Grew up in the Iron Mountains under the rule of Dain. His father was killed in the Battle of the Five Armies and his mother died when he was very young. He taught himself how to become self reliant. That included how to catch food and how to defend himself. He lived for a while in Dale but became ubrestful and went in search of action. His search eventually brought him to the Blue Mountains. There he was hired as a bodyguard by a rich dwarf. After saving this dwarf from a small company of orcs, he became well known as one of the best body guards around.

Nice. You could probably be the bodyguard to the chief dwarf.
Name: Tilgun Ironbeard Race: Dwarf Age: 130 Gender: Male Profession: Leader of the dwarven colony Weapons: A big battleaxe and a round shield. Appearance: His hair is very dark, and so is his beard. He is short for a dwarf, but any enemy that underestimates him has quickly lost its head. He wears a brown cloak, and a chainmail coat. His boots are heavy and iron-studded at the heels. Personality: He has a fierce determination, and will not back down from most threats. However, he knows when the odds are sorely against him, and will eventually retreat. He refuses compromise. History: He proved himself as somewhat of a young dwarf in the Battle of Five Armies, when the leader of his battalion was slain by a goblin volley. He took up the standard, and led his army to defeat two whole groups of goblins. He was offered the chance to take back Moria, and jumped at it. He is one of the few who knows much about the Mithrilstone.

If I recall correctly, there wasn't a rune gate where the Fellowship fled Moria. Very odd, I agree...I'll have to check the books.

Who said anything about a rune gate where the Fellowship fled Moria?

"Door" just sounded a little bit like "rune gate", the way it was mentioned. But that's all right.

That would work, but you might want to give Alatar and Co. time to get away. That way we'd have two seperate groups going that could meet up at in a fight with goblins or something.
Hmm...do I need to add another plot twist?
