Not exactly. I want it more precise. (The bread and the honey are right - but I want more two kinds of food.)

Let's see.......... Gandalf had two loaves of bread with butter and hunny and clotted cream and he drank a quart of mead.

In the 'morning' the book doesn't say what he ate, it just indicates he had breakfast - when he returns from his scouting that day, Gandalf just says "One question at a time - and none till after supper! I haven't had a bite since breakfast." He then goes on to eat two whole loaves (with masses of butter and honey and clotted cream) and drinks at least a quart of mead for supper, but that is in the evening. You did say you wanted us to be more precise

Didn't see that (few sentences before that Bilbo had just woked up).

It's Elvengirl's turn, then.

*rushes in*
oh, my turn, oops
hmmmmm, ok this is all I can think of at the moment.

Who was most puzzled by Bilbo's "clever bit of work" by sneaking up on him?

At the very end of the book when Gandalf and Bilbo are talking, what object does Bilbo pass to Gandalf?
