a hankie?
You mean hanky? If not, I should buy a new dictionary...

Is the answer is Roek son of Kark? (or Roec son of Carc...)

My dictionary says both hankie and hanky are correct ways of spelling.

The correct name is Roäc, son of Carc. But I suppose the difference is due to the translation. Your turn!

How many goblins were killed by Gandalf's lightning in the cave (when the goblins surprised them and kidnapped the dwarves and Bilbo...)?

That's ok Elvengirl! Who in their right mind would read all these pages of a trivia game? Course, you'd learn alot about The Hobbit, I guess! No problem!

What dwarvish "watchman" did Bilbo replace on the Lonely Mountain?

Hmm.. it was a huge white gem that shone like silver in the firelight, like water in the sun, like snow under the stars, like rain upon the Moon.
(I didn't look in the book, I swear )
