Drinking some Earl Grey to keep me alert enough to get through at least the first book of RotK. It's been so long since I read it, I feel like I have big news that I have to tell everyone. "Hey guys, listen, the war is ON. This is a big deal. Better be ready!" Not very many books can make me feel that way.

Taking today "off" . Didn't go to my class this morning, and rehearsal isn't till 6 this evening, sooooo.... been spending the whole day cleaning, doing laundry and catching up on the things I've had to put off for the last three weeks. I'm not resting, but it's been a nice change. Feels like a "weekend" .

I also watched the first episode of season 2 of Stargate Universe, and OMG!!! AWESOME SAUCE!!!

Ok I have a story. I am sick today with a cold, sinus and throat stuff. I read that spicy foods help but I can't really handle spicy stuff. I'm a TOTAL wimp when it comes to spicy. But I like General Tso's chicken from the place down the street except that it's spicy (I can eat it if I have lots of milk with it). So I drove down there and picked some up. I crawled into bed, big glass of water and smaller glass of soy milk at the ready. I took my first bite. And it was not spicy at all. It still tasted delicious but not spicy. It's fascinating how the nose and mouth work together for taste! I was very pleased. All the deliciousness of General Tso's without the death.

I think everybody must have weird dreams at some point, if not all the time. Sometimes I think dreams reach such a new level of weird that you wouldn't be able to reach by one's active imagination even if you tried.

I'm still trying to work out how that new mathematics systems I had a class of in my dream works. It involved some systems of integrals with bisshops, doctors and paupers (naturally my dream-self failed to grasp it) and all I can think of is that my mind is trying to tell me I need to finish watching the last Doctor Who season on tape.

That is such an amazing dream. It's really political. I have really shallow dreams sometimes, like, about something I want to buy that's really expensive when I get to the shop, or that they're sold out. I wake up and I think - am I really materialistic?
