I again took a step back from him. He would know me, I felt it, he would be able to see through the mask, and recognize the face, which one belonged to a freightened four year old.

I sensed that the elf with the bow knew that I had thought about my powers so I told him that I had no wish to use them. The other people(the ones who caught me) staired as if they hadn't known that I had powers and thought me a mear hobbit. To prove that I had powers I stood up and turned halfway around so as not to turn my back on the armed elf who had read my mind. I did a simple harmless spell that made simple plants grow but instead of something simple I made a very tropical plant that has only been seen by a few people and that showed the extent of my powers with stuff like that pretty well. Then I turned around and sat back down.

The one who had caught me took off her hood and I saw her face. For a few days I had been worried that I had been tracking the wrong group, but now I was sure I was tracking the right people. I also recognized the fear of my mind. This elf who had put an arrow at the group I was tracking and myself was an elven king, I had a feeling he would find out that I was tracking this group of people. Swift stopped growling for an instant and I looked up. The elf put his arrow back in his quiver and went to the other elf. They started talking and I made the mistake of thinking that they had forgotten about me. I got up and put my wepons back in their places and started to get back to my hunting. Unfortunately my presence had not been forgotten and I was pulled back by the elven king. I was not safe. And to top it all off I was already in a bad mood because of not having anything to eat. I was dangerous to all who did not let me eat and got in my way.
