*The puppy settles into her arms, hiding his nose in her sleeve. For once he is quiet.*

As Mara and her small company of foxes ran to find the ringbearers, the black fox heard something calling her. She turned to Zarai. Take the others to Imladris. There is something I must investigate. Before any of the foxes could protest, Mara was off, running, though she did not know it, towards Awartha and Starletta.
You heard Lady Mara. Let's go! barked Zarai. The rest of the foxes continued on their way to find Elrond and Astarien.

*A hobbit sits in the Wise, and to see her, would now who she is. She does not leave the Wise much anymore, unless the need is great. She felt something calling to her. It was her friend, Awartha. Something was wrong with a friend of hers. There was being a calling of Rings. but she felt she should not interfear, for her ring ment so little*

Mara continued to run towards "the woodsy place" until she saw...a Dryad! An elf and a human were there, too, and though the cautious Mara would ordinarily have hidden, something about the situation made her unusually bold. (She was, after all, the mother of Cyrell, possibly the most courageous fox who ever lived.) So while she did not speak to the group, she stood in plain sight, watching them.
