Me? I'm home every week from Thursday afternoon till Monday early morning already. It's only a little over 2 hours by train to get home.
I was planning to get a full-time job and to go on a vacation, but I've still got that thesis to finish, I have to move back in with my parents (I'm giving up my room near the University seen as that I will go to a different school starting September), etc. so I think maybe that vacation will have to wait another year.
But I am still looking for a full-time job though. Two and a half months of full-time work will pay me just enough to pay my tuition fees for next year.

Anyway, I'll be here (probably) and I'll miss you around (certainty)!

Yeah, I'll pop in whenever. I'll be gettin a job this summer too, to pay for the new camera and to go on vacation with a buddy and his family.

Is it difficult to get a summerjob around where you live? Here it is pretty difficult. >_<
I have a second job interview lined up for Tuesday. I hope I get it, even though that wouldn't be a full-time job.
I idly looked for summerjobs in America for foreigners, but it would come down to having to spend everything you'd earn on the ticket.

A job in Germany would pay off better, but my spoken German just isn't good enough for that, haha!

Weren't you looking for a job in a museum? I'm sorry if I'm confusing you with someone else now

EDIT: Queensday was quite okay. I didn't go see the Queen this year nor did I go to Amsterdam to celebrate and in my hometown the celebrations were a bit toned down from what I remembered. Our little town was shown on the national news though because of some bizarre experiment they did there and the atmosphere was good. Of course we had another national holiday yesterday (Ascension Day) and the 4th and 5th of May are also national holidays (Remembrance Day and Liberation Day). Lots of days off

Anything that offers full-time employment. So far I've done everything from cleaning in a mental institution and waitressing to being an assistant secretary. I worked in a library and in a test-center for visually handicapped people.
But there are quite a few people who don't want to hire me because of A) my age and B) my education.
Really, I've once been told that having someone from a university in a team that consists mainly of people who barely graduated from high school would mess up the team spirit and somewhere else I was asked if "I wouldn't feel uncomfortable working with people who have a lower education then me" and if "I wouldn't prefer looking for a job elsewhere?"

Finding a summerjob is absolute horror here. Basically you have to start looking in January already. Of course I forgot about that.

I'm only 20, and so I'm only allowed in at special times. Thursdays are kiddie nights where girls 18+ can get in, but they stop letting us in at 11:30, I found out. But there's a special thing tonight that I should be able to get in so it's ok.

Oh yeah, the 21+ rule... Here it's 18+, but as I understand it from my sister there are places where you can find a lot of 15 or 16 year olds as well. She should know, she did it herself too. ~_~j
