Tjis has been one of the bests matches in the championship. The Czechs looked for the victory till the end. I'm happy they got it. Poborsky, Nevded... they're becoming a team of legend

I'm just wondering, Is Paval Nedved related to Peter Nedved of the NHL. I know he is also from the Czech Rebuplic

WOW Portugal surprised me! Lovely game!

Both of the games played yesterday (Latvia - Germany and Netherlands - Czechs) were also rather surprising (IMO)

Lovely to watch this.

Agreed. A good game. Exciting to the very end.
Spain was sooo close though. But Russia failed them.

Even though I didn't hope to clasify from the begining, I'm disapointed

Congrats Elvellon! Portugal deserved the victory

Sorry, Gollum, but Ronaldo rules! And Figo had some good moments as well, though they both sort of disappeard in the 2nd half.

Deco was on just to look at the referee with big eyes and get free-kicks. Which he excelled at.

Congratulations Portugal!
That was one of the most interesting games so far.

Sorry, FM. I would have wanted to see Spain advance too.

Great stuff! Spain looked like they were just playing for the draw, so Portugal were well worth their win. They had a very strong midfield; surely Nuno Gomes will be first choice forward from now on. It's good for the tournament that the home team gets through to the knock-out stages.

I missed the Italy v Sweden and Holland v Czech Republic games (damned social life) and will also miss tonight's England game I think they'll manage to beat Croatia, and set themselves up for a nice, friendly quarter-final against Portugal!

I wonder what is wrong with Iñaki Saez. Why the hell didn't he put in Juan Carlos Valeron from the beginning, and why did he put first Luque instead of Morientes?
Raul is super overrated.
Portugal deserved to win though, they played better all the way.

“What does the term american refers to” asked the boy, and the wise man answered: “Lets look at the dictionary then.”
As an adjective American is:
1. Of or relating to the United States of America or its people, language, or culture.
2. Of or relating to North or South America, the West Indies, or the Western Hemisphere.
As a noun American is:
A native or inhabitant of America.
A citizen of the United States.

Then the boy asked, “What is America then?”, and the wise man looked at the dictionary again:
1. The United States.
2. also the A·mer·i·cas. The landmasses and islands of North America, Central America, and South America.

Confused, the boy asked, “Does the term american refers solely to a us citizen or to any person in North, Central or South America?”
The wise man replied: “What do you think?”, and the boy answered: “It is clear to me that while the term american is used to refers to us citizens, one can also use it to refer to any person who is from that continent too,” the boy thought for a while and asked the wise man, “Am I right?”, and he replied: “But of course.”
The boy wondered, why is it that some people refuse to acknowledge the fact that the term american refers not only to US citizens but to anyone of the American continent?, but then sadly, the boy understood, that it is the calamity of ignorance.

Right. I was listening to the BBC news on radio yesterday night (escaping from our all-sad sport programs) and they were saying that England should learn the lesson from what has happened to Spain and play for the win against Croatia.

All is wrong with Saez. His cloathing, to begin with. What can you hope from a national coach that cannot wear a proper suit for the matches . He's always in sport cloathing

And, seriously, he should have put in Valeron and also taken out Raul for Morientes.

It is sad because Spain had such a great team. The totally absurd thing was that Luque entered as a foward that can make really good headers, but it was him the one that kicked all the corners?
What is wrong with Iñaki?

Congrats, Anglos! Nice match. But you must admit, they had you worried there for some time.

I look forward to the England-Portugal game, but can't really decide whom to cheer for. Portugal played brilliantly against Spain, but I've always had a soft spot for England...
