Gah... it was COLD at work tonight. Cold and busy. I think we had every person within walking distance come in for groceries tonight. The roads are all iced over now, if it stays like this then the only way people will be getting around Seattle tomorrow will be on ice skates. Which would be awesome; but unfortunately improbable. It's all shiny.

Hey! Who's up for doing something crazy?

Well.. it would seem crazy coming from ME. You have to know me... I'm kind of impulsive in a small way (the check-out lines at Wal-Mart kill me!), but I don't ever do something on a whim. No flying by the seat of my pants...

Except for now. I think I'm going to take a road trip next week to Colorado Springs! I am excited about the thought of it.

College stretches into January for you? Interesting! My college semester is over now. That's why I have time to be here

I'm done with school too! I'm so happy...

I've got one of my friends maybe coming with me... but I'm not sure how some things are going to work...

but I don't care! I'm going and I'll have a good time and if I have to stay in a cheap motel for 25 bucks a night (those are the scary ones, though...), I will.

25 dollars a night!? That's EXPENSIVE!
I hope you'll have a great time, Midge ^_^ Just go and don't worry about planning things. Though bringing a book on what is where might be useful.

Hector, why?

I know what you mean, Hector... I don't like thinking about them either.. and my reason happened almost two years ago!

Mari, I don't think 25 dollars a night is expensive because I've been on vacations before where my parents have paid around 75ish dollars a night (although those were $X for 1 week packages). However, that was for four people in one room.. which I suppose isn't too bad. If I were to stay in a motel like that, it would be me and my friend in the same room (we're pretty close... but not romantically, just to clear up any dirty things that might have jumped in any heads!), so 25 dollars a night for two people isn't bad.

Coincidentally Midge, the worst cheap motel I ever stayed in was in Denver Colorado.

Wow, it sounds like you folks are having a fun old time up there! Unfortunately I can't ice skate. So if I was up there, I would probably be using a hiney-skate .

Midge, for two people that is reasonable indeed. I was thinking of the price p/p.

Hector, I really am going to teach you how to skate >_< It's impossible for someone to live his or her life not knowing the wonderful experience of skating on the ice! I won't let it happen! No, no, NO! >_<

I've never stayed in a cheap motel; my family doesn't hold with cheap motels. However, a couple of years ago, I was at Andy's getting ice cream and it was a couple of buildings over from a really cheap motel... and while I was innocently eating my ice cream with my boyfriend, this woman comes running out of the motel literally half-naked (nothing but a pair of sweats on, and those not even all the way on) screaming for help. She did have a femalular upper undergarment with her, but she wasn't wearing it. She'd been being raped and run out of the motel. It was kind of funny, because there were some very brave middle-aged people who'd also been getting ice cream and they marched straight over to the motel to tell that guy off!

It was kind of traumatizing... But I wouldn't be planning on stopping. I'd want to get up early in the morning and just drive straight there... it would take all day, of course... about 16 hours.. give or take. Plus the fact that I don't know exactly where I am going... so add more time. But I'm excited about it.

Edit: I'll stop and eat or use the bathroom... I meant stop overnight.

And Hector, if you can't stay upright on the ice, we'll just call you Puck and smile.

I know that has Shakespearean connotations, as well as hockey connotations. But at the moment, I have no time to decipher your message, Midge . I'm speeding off to work....

Yikes, excitement!

Rosie got away and ran towards the road, and we were sure she was going to get hit by a car. Then she ran into the subdivision behind us and we had to chase her...in the cold...which gave me an asthma attack.

*comfort* At least the doggy's okay.

Wish me luck... I'm off to a rehearsal of unknown length. We (the soloists) get there at 10, the rest of the choir at 11, and there's no official 'ending time'.
