beldaryn looked at the elven woman. "wow." he could not find any more words; even the voices in his head fell silent for a moment...

OOC: Nariel, there was only a dwarf lying on the floor. No elf.
IC: Hawair raised his head just when he saw a flash. Meanwhile, he seen some strange move made by a spy. This could not turn out to be good. But then, that person took his cloak off. Hawair was amazed. "WOW", was the only thing Hawair could say. The elven creature looked so wonderful. "Just like I have always thought about Calaquendi", Hawair thought. Good thing was that Hawair was standing behind her, so she wouldn't see HIS looks. But Hawair took him to his arms. "I must concentrate", he knew. Seeing a dwarf noticed that he was kicked, and that the "spy" offered him her hand, Hawair used the moment to ask Malathor (in hand-language, of course): -What will we do now? May we try to get rid of them both, or will we get them in the group?

Hey we can salvage this game. Can we all check out that last few post on the other thread?

OOC: Can I just go ahead and post? Okay, I will. By the way, does this mean the dwarf never showed up or that we kill him off?
BIC: Nariel was feeling a bit awkward that everyone was now looking at her. she had hoped that the chant would take the attention off her a bit longer. And to boot, she noticed that in her attempt to conceal her daggers, the hilt of one of them had caught on the rim of her quiver. She swore silently and unbuckled the straps that held the quiver in place, putting it on the ground. She then pulled out one dagger and lay it at malathor's feet. "My apologies for my deceit. My explanation is simply this: I overheard your conversation regarding the wights and such and I believed that I would be of some assistance in your quest. I would have approached your group, but you left too soon and I could not easily knock and ask to be let in. THerefore I thought it best to listen to your Council and perhaps join you later."

OOC
I sent a personal email to everyone who seems too be in the game. I suggest a day or so for those who wish to,to reply. Lets keep the dwarf in until it is clear if he is playing or not. IC Malathor relaxed and lowered his bow. The lull in the tenseness gave him a moment to better gauge the Elven women before him. He discerned that she was supremely independant and quite confident. She could be a valued ally if he could trust her. If this was the Wild Elf of Mirkwood then he would rather have her at his side. "If I hand you your dagger and your quiver, do you promise not to kick me and run away as you did before?" offered Malathor with a relenting smile.

OOC: OK, I'm playing, just as before.
IC: Hawair thought that a Wild Elf is better on their side, not against them. And that was what should happen. Malathor and the 'spy' have talked, and it seemed to be good enough. The dwarf, he was a passive guy. Trying to stand up, he was of no threat. The lightflash - it would be of later investogation. But Hawair knew something was not good. Some small thing... "Yes!" he thought. "I remember" - Excuse me, lady, - he started. - If we aren't going to be enemies, then maybe we should tell each other our names, as we do not know yours. My name, as you should know from my and Malathor's talk, is Hawair. What is yours?

Nariel exhaled, glad that they had finally relaxed. She nodded to Malathor and picked up her dagger and quiver. "My name," she said to Hawair. "Is Kalnarnen."

Lysander could understand little of the communication between the elves, but the danger seemed to have passed, and so he turned his attention to the man called Beldryn; His madness, whether real or staged, held some great darkness, some power...
Trying to calm the man and perhaps learn some more from him, Lysander spoke, calmly but firmly: "That is indeed a dark condition. What, if I may ask, is the last thing that you can remember?" |

Nibinel was taken aback by the revealing of the strange elf's true indentity. She had thought for sure that the shadowy figure was evil. But she had been pleasently surprised.
But as for beladryn...well...amnesia was an easy excuse. She added to Lysander's question with, "Or are you lying to us? Do you really not know who you are?"

beldaryn drew himself up at the questions which now assailed him. "it is not a matter of the LAST thing i can remember; the proper question is what is the OLDEST memory that i have." he paused and drew in a deep breath. "i remember waking up on the floor of a forested area about 2 moons past. i have had to use this blade more than once, and i seem to be proficient with it. i truly have no recollection of anything before the day on which i awoke in the woods." he turned to Nibinel, "i wish i could reassure you that i am not motivated by a dark purpose, but i would be lying if i did so--i am incapable of recalling anything about who i am, so it is possible that i am exactly what you fear. i want..no, i NEED, more than anything to bring my memories back so i can answer these very questions you pose. the only thing of which i am certain is that i am not fabricating this tale."

Malathor spoke, " Shall we go sit and continue discussion of the matters?"

OOC...I'm so sorry, I'm confusing people by misspelling my own char. name (leave it to me...) The correct spelling (for my own benefit, ) is NIBENEL. There. I...must...remember...
BIC- Nibenel curtsied deeply to the man...saying softly, "I trust you are not one of those under the influence of the dark powers, sir." She could be a lady...at times. She sat down and waited for the discussion to start anew.

Feraway was was a little confused, she thought to herself "How could someone not know who they are?" She simply couldnt grasp the concept. Sitting back down where she had been before the blue flash, she thought to herself again "He does not seem evil...but I best watch him."

Hawair replied to Malathor's question:
- Yes, I think we should go into the room and resume talking about these 'wights'. Maybe our new companion knows something more about them? - finished he, looking at Kalnarnen.

Nariel smiled. "Ask, and I shall answer what I know."

beldaryn cleared his throat, a bit embarrassed at the repetition of his revelation, "what are wights?" he asked. "how does one kill them?"
