"Uncle Eomer?" said Daphne cautiously as she turned to face her uncle. "Can I come and live with you in Rohan? I hate it here so much. I do not feel safe under Aragorn's rule. I do not mean any offence to the man but I do not feel safe in this city. My mother told me wonderful tales about Rohan and I would much rather live there than in this miserable place."

"No, at least I don't think so though I am very tired. I have been very restless this past year and I have been quite ill several times. I don't want to live in Gondor. I fear for my mother and I love her but she scares me."

"Aragorn is a great man, Daphne. But I understand your restlessness. I would be, too if there were something in the works that I couldn't figure out. The King sent your father to scout out what is happening. He went with Acalewia and another forest dweller. I'll speak with your mother and see if you can stay in Rohan for a while. No promises though"

The forest was quiet. Faramir, Acalewia, and Tarrin did not know what they were looking for. The rangers knew this forest well and would be able to spot anything amiss.
"We will be back in time for your child's birth, Faramir" Acalewia said, noticing his slience.
Beware of the look alikes
The three compainions looked at each other.
"Did you hear that?" Faramir asked. Acalewia looked around.
"It sounded like a warning. But of what?"

Gothalag the Spider, the Orc-captain and his men padded stealthily in among the ruined buildings of Osgiliath, when suddenly pandemonion erupted arrows banging off the rough hide of the Spider and the Orcs falling over themselves trying to find cover, several of not succeeding in time.

"Perhaps of what we'll find when we find out what's wrong," Tarrin said quietly as she rolled the warning over in her head.
What did it mean by the look alikes?" she thought to herself, and who said it? It wasn't an animal or the trees. After pondering it a while she looked at the others.
"Perhaps we should make sure none of us leaves the others' sight. It said "look alikes," perhaps it means imposters of some kind?"

Meanwhile Eowyn fell to the floor after yet another attempt to stand up. Only this time she was clucthing her stomach in pain.

"Eomer! I think I'm having the BABY! NOW!!!"

Eomer rushed to his sister's side. Now would not be a good time to bring up Daphne's wishes. He picked Eowyn up and carried her to her bed.
"Rana, I'm going to need your help here." He turned around.
"Daphne!" She appeared in the doorway. "Get your mother's mid-wife!"

Acalewia nodded.
"She has a good point. Stick together" Faramir noticed her voice had wavered a bit. Acalewia had reconized the voice. But she wasn't sure if it was who she thought it was. They rode side by side now. Faramir wondered what the warning could mean.

AS they rode Tarrin looked at Acalewia and Faramir for a moment and asked.
"So, is there any idea what this threat might be? Do you have a problem with this sort of thing here?"

"A few years ago was the last we had any sort of threat." Faramir answered.
"We're out here to find the answer to that very question. Even I cannot figure it out." She said.

They travelled on for a good while longer after that. As they began to reach the outskirts of Ithilien, Tarrin's head snapped up and she looked around.
"Did you hear that?" she asked the other two before hearing the sound again and then figureong out what it was. The underbrush was moving and there was the sound of footsteps.
"We're being followed," she said.

OOC: We needed to get something going. WE are going to Ithilien right? If not I'll change it

The archers appeared to have melted into the woodwork when the whole company of orcs gathered around Gothalag to proceed towards the City.

Suddenly, an orc scout shouted:
"Riders! Enemy riders, coming our way! There are three of them! Everybody hide again!"

Acalewia turned. She squinted into the forest. She could hear them, but she couldn't see them.
"If they're trying to surprise us, they need to do a better job" she said as she drew her sword.

Gothalag rose on all eight to confront the riders.

"What the devil?" Faramir said aloud. Acalewia and Tarrin followed his gaze. They were looking at themselves. Acalewia slid off her horse.
"Heed the warning!" she said.

One of the riders levelled his spear and set off in a charge towards the Giant Spider...

"Faramir, are you insane!!" shouted the other two riders after him.

About 2 seconds after Faramir rushed the spider and they yelled at him, Tarrin and Anwar rode forward to catch up with Faramir, he hadn't said anything about not following him and there wasn't any point in trying to be subtle anymore. Tarrin held her staff ready for the combat they would face when they drew near enough. Tarrin had heard Acalewia's reminder to heed the warning and kept her senses open to anything that seemed more out the ordinary than things were already.

Acalewia returned to Silvermist and urged her to follow the two humans. She no longer saw the mirrior image, but a giant spider.
"No diriel! No veren! Avo 'osto!" Acalewia cried as she charged the spider.
