Long Lost Leaves

Tabrîl took Abasi's hand in hers and squeezed it gently. It was a beginning for them, and she would not have him feel awkward about it. She met his gaze, and though there were no words between them in those first moments, in her eyes it could be seen that there was no doubt.

[Mari]

Ellysa saw the exchange of weapons from the corner of her eyes and turned to the two elves in shock. She shook her head. No, Tabril is a woman. It can't be that.
She looked back up at the stars, smiling as stories came to mind and slowly she grew tired again.

She curled up and mumbled before falling asleep: "Yes, stars are bright and many in number too. But who knows what else they are? Someday I might find out. I'll come tell you when I know."
And she was sleeping again, a peaceful expression on her face.

[Coffeehouse]

Quickleaf wanted to say he was sorry, but he was sure she would still be mad. He felt weak, stretched. But he sensed she had applied some of the herbs. The horses walking rythm through the forest was comfortable, the life of the forest brimming into sounds and smells.
Quickleaf looked at Nami, but all he could muster was "Thank you"

Nami gave Quickleaf a quick side ways look, pulling an unimpressed face at his thank you.
Nami continued to look ahead of herself as she walked.
"How are you feeling?" She didn't look at him, she was still angry and disappointed in him and her tone of voice reflected that. But the quick look as gave him showed that she was truely concerned for his well being.

[Curufin]

Abasi kept Tabrîl's hand, and bringing it to his lips brushed it with a tender kiss before releasing it. He was glad that the ka'maren girl had fallen asleep and he had this time to share with Tabrîl alone. He had never gone down this path before, but it felt right to him - as very little else had in a very long time.

[Coffeehouse]

"I feel poked" Quickleaf smiled weakly. His head was burning hot. Seeing Nami carrying his flask he asked her if she could pour water over his head. He didn't think the wound was infected, but he'd have to rest for a day, let the herbal paste work its way.

[orithil]

"I see your awake now" Hedrim stated. "That was a reckless thing to do, but all the same you showed incredible fighting prowess against an opponent with...Hedrim looked at the sky as if counting "thousands of years more skill then yourself" he realised this possible wasn't the best thing to say as Nami would be yelling at him as soon as he got back to camp. Hedrim sighed as he saw the camp coming into view slightly "Theres the camp" he pointed.

[Coffeehouse]

"Thanx Hedrim, & thanx to you and your horse for bringing me back. My mind was in another world.." Quickleaf felt stupid, being taken back by two of his companions like a elven child. The fight had brought him nothing but shame.
Hearing Hedrim spot the camp Quickleaf was relieved, he needed some hours under a tree, mending his wounds. He was still eager to go underground in Dol Guldur again. Unfinished business.

[The Sasquatch of Fangorn]

"I have to say, Quickleaf." said Borin clapping his hands together. "I thought that I was going to have a go at Abasi before you did."

[Coffeehouse]

Seeing Borin, Quickleaf cheered up. The merry dwarf had a point. "Can't argue with that! But you'll get your chance. That elf would jump on you with his sword even if you only coughed in his.. general.. direction.." Quickleaf grinned.

"If you do cough in his direction, ill kill you before he does and i don't know why you two are encouraging him? It was a damn foolish thing to do. If you insist on acting like children i'll treat you like children."
Nami turned on Quickleaf, "And dont think just because they are cheering you that this gets you off the hook. Dont think i am going to be babysitting you just because you injured, self inflected injures gets no simpathy."

[Coffeehouse]

Quickleaf's smile evaporated and his cheeks reddened, and he limped over to his favorite oak tree and sat down in the glistening grass, moist in the morning dew. He took off the cloak around his stomach and looked at the healing wound, the cut being painted by a thick, green herbal paste. He looked up to spot Nami, he wanted to thank her for it, but then again, maybe he should keep his distance.

[Curufin]

Abasi said nothing, but raised his eyes to see Quickleaf on the other side of the camp. He frowned deeply, then turned his eyes back to the sleeping ka'maren girl. He was suprised that she had fallen asleep so easily and so quickly. He had never heard of such a thing before.

Curious, he reached out and poked her gently in the arm.

[Mari]

Ellysa was asleep, but it wasn't a deep sleep, so she woke up when someone touched her.
When her eyes were focused, she saw Abasi looking at her with a curious look on his face.

"What is it? Is something wrong?"

[Curufin]

'Nothing is wrong,' he said simply. 'I simply wondered if you were alright - you fell asleep very quickly.'

[Acalewia]

Aelfwine had watched the fight. She wasn't completly shocked at Abasi's actions, having obseverved the elf staying away from the others. What had shocked her was Quickleaf or whatever his name was had challaged him to begin with. She was greatful that Radagast had stopped the fight before anyone was killed. After that she lost track of the fighters, until Hedrim and Nami brought Quickleaf back from the forest.

"What were you thinking, Quickleaf?" Aelfwine said as the elf was taken off the horse. "You could have been killed!" She really hadn't spoken much to Quickleaf, but he was one of them. Her compainion as much as Ellysa and Nami were. "Don't you think we have enough to worry about without fighting breaking out among ourselves?" She knew he would have enough people chastising him over this stunt, Aelfwine just wanted to understand why he had done something so dangerious.

[Mari]

"Yes, yes. I'm alright, thank you. I suddenly grew tired again. My sleep was not very resting as you might have noticed. Do you ever have bad dreams or unwanted memories coming to haunt you?"

Ellysa was a bit happy that Abasi talked to her and she was waking up as she spoke.

[Curufin]

'I do not,' he said simply. 'You must not let the past plague you. You must live for the moment, not for the past or the present. You must forget the things that upset and trouble you. I do not understand why some insist on concentrating on things that make them unhappy. You must simply forget.'

[Mari]

Ellysa smiled a bitter smile. "Believe me, if it were up to me I'd bury the memories as deep as possible and start over again, but they catch up with me wherever I go. My past is my ghost.
How do you make all the bad memories go away?"

[Curufin]

'I forget,' he said simply.
