A few photos, again..

I usually don't like to use a flash even though I know that if used right, a flash might help a lot. This time it worked, though: this is Anna in Sarek national park, Sweden.

View framed by the door into a lighthouse. Segelskär, outter archipelago (Hanko). The black dots are gnats.. X)

Nice sky you got there, Mari

So, I had to take some photos of Omar.. Because he's one of the most beautiful cats I've met, but on the photos I've taken of him, he usually turns out quite.. Ugly.

So I went disturbing him for a while when he was resting (he has a busy and exhausting cat life indoors), playing a bit with the composition to try to create some kind of cosy mood..

I'll be rude and continue.

So, last night we went out to Furuskär, one of the islands with our study population. It's on the protected area that belongs to the zoological station I'm working at, and it has a small cabin (and a sauna, of course

). So I spent the night there with Emma and Ulla, woke up at 4am and went to check on the colonies to see if the sexuals are flying. I took time for some photography, too..

Moonrise

A butterfly larva - unfortunately I don't know what butterfly..

A bush-cricket or katydid (fam. Tettigoniidae) in the boat house

Someone else was also interested in the flying ants.. It might be a Tetragnatha-spider, not sure..
