And dear head office, since you decided to make things even more extra complicated this year through another bout of your sadly rather habitual incompetence? NO LOVE.

Oh no, it's returning ritual every 4 or 5 weeks. Then I'm busy for 3 or 4 weeks, then there is another period of relative calm.
I only have to hand in my grades + comments one every trimester though. It's mostly the commenting that takes so much time. Saying something about all of my 420 students is quite a lot of work.

I can imagine. You can only say 'good student' or 'could do well if trying a little harder' so many times.

When I say "ready" I'm talking about kicking my dear husband and his hobbies out of the second bedroom to make room for the crib, and such. I'm sure this little guy will give us what for when he starts walking.

Actually, we've pretty much settled on one we both like. But we're not disclosing until he's officially here and named; we've been advised that before the baby is born, people feel comfortable giving you all sorts of opinions about names ("Oh, [whatever name]? I used to know a guy named that! He was a terrible guy, bullied all of us in the 4th grade!"). After the baby is named and it can't be changed, it becomes a little rude to say things like that, so those opinions stay buttoned.

Our parents don't even know what name we've chosen, but my mom told me that she doesn't want us to name him Thor OR Loki.

I told her that Thor was our dog's name before we adopted him and changed it to Huan (yes, after the Hound of Valinor!)

In Norway, Tor is quite a common name. Thor may be used as well.

Loki isn't used at all.
