OK, like... you know when you're out shoveling snow, which makes you think wondrous thoughts about the North Kingdoms of old, and then you break your broom sweeping snow off a car...

... and your first thought is that someday... it will be forged anew!

When you hear (or accedentaly say) a word or two, and suddenly find yourself reciting the whole scene where that word is in. For example... and this is far from the only one, just one that came to mind... you are in a plane and looking out the window. You are glad that the clouds are not too bad, and you point out one, saying it is whispy. You say "It's a whispy cloud." Suddenly, you change that to "It's just a whisp of cloud." "It's moving fast... and against the wind."

And many indeed saw them and the light that shone about them as they came down from the walls and went hand in hand to the Houses of Healing."

You also try seting fire to wood by saying the magic words in the book (Like gandalf)

You know you're obsessed when you refuse to do anything normal during a day, so you can read LotR. Such as having a shower, eating, or Eru forbid... going to the toilet!

You also bring your LotR books to restaurants, to read there. Never mind that it is a formal occasion, and people stare at you.
You can go to the bathroom wile reading LOTR
