The last ones from Copenhagen (I promise!)..  Where is he?  The torture chamber in the National Museum: one of the most interesting places in the museum.  This one is not from Copenhagen, but rather from Madeira. The photo is taken at my place, though. My mother brought me this from her trip: an Annona cherimola fruit. Mark Twain called it the "most delicious fruit known to men", and it sure was yummy..

Yeah, it's a jackdaw, very common birds around here.. Beautiful, too. And some mallards..   snow wash..  jackdaws and mallards

So, the weekend's owl excursion is over. The weather was a bit dull, though, so I didn't get any very nice photos from the biological station. But I got some at campus before we left for the field station, and something from the station area itself..
 Tussilago farfara, the coltsfoot. A true sign of spring.  A frozen spider..  A bleeding birch (Betula)  The pike (Esox lucius) I saw in the ditch at campus.. o.O
