Not only the Western Hemispere though. Pasta was invented in China.

Anyway congrats FF and I like most oriental foods (Chinese, Japanese, Pacific Islander); Mexican (especially chili and nachos); Cuban (cusa my friend's grandmother); and Polish.

Yeah...but it's New Jersey

Actually, I spent every summer from when I was 2 'til I was 9, plus two more summers (11-13) on Cape Cod. I think every summer...well anyway, it has..uh...sentimental value

Congrats, FF!! and I like Mexican, too. Also our local family-run Korean BBQ joint is really good, but my father-in-law got a touch of salmonella poisoning (there should be 2 tongs - one for the raw meat, and one for the cooked!)

That's why he combined it with the "what is your favorite ethnic food" thread. I personally don't have a problem with it as long as the thread has some other meaning.

actually the tomato was widely assumed to be extremely poisonous in america till the mid 19th century. (wheres the "Did you know" thread when you need it). Where as the Italians were eating them as early as the 16th century.

Tai food is good, but it gives me the weirdest dreams.

I like cajun food, also. Crawfish Etouffe... my favorite!

I love all kinds of spicy food, especially Indian food. I like all the ways that the Indians can cook chicken and duck. When eating chicken, it's got to be spicy Indian chicken. I also love Chinese food and Chinese chicken and duck. Lots of soy sauce to the bowl of rice
The Italian kitchen is one of my favourites, due to all the pasta dishes. Pasta is my favourite food.
The French food is also very nice. No one can prepare such wonderful meat dishes as the French.
I enjoy Spanish and Mexican food as well, particularly when it's spicy.

Crocodile's quite nice actually - lil' sweeter than chicken (and a bit tough), but it's OK.

We have a restaurant near my house called Carnivors, it serves all kinds of meats from the mundane like beef to zebra, giraffe, crocodile, ostrich, all kinds of buck & antelope, etc etc (basically if it's meat they serve it )
