My school has a jewelry making class, but it's first period, and so is band.
Eh, it's sculpy/jewelry, so it's probably dumb.

I don't mind you having a sculpy-jewelry class at your school, it's metalworking-stone setting-jewelry smithing I want to learn.

I liked the costumes for the most part but was Gandalf's hat stuffed? that's the only way it could be shaped like thatit couls have wire or something in it but whatever I imagined it a darker shade of blue

I am looking for a good head to toe pic of Legolas so I can get a good view of his costume for art purposes

I've always loved the tie-on sleeves and I want my wedding dress to have them

I'd also like to see a pic of Legolas in Lorien

what language was that site with the thumbnail of the brooch in?

I think the design for the brooch would make a nifty belt buckle

i think i was agreeing that the leaf design would make a nifty belt buckle. and it would really be nice to have a head-to-toe pic of Legolas for costuming (and ogling!!) purposes.

This is a good shot of Legolas for costuming, but it doesn't show whatever shoes he might be wearing.

His shoes are knee-high black (or green, I couldn't tell) soft leather boots. I would not have a clue as to how to make/get them though!

hey can we bring this thread back to life? it has languished, abandoned, for nigh upon 2 weeks (but it feels like 2 months) with no new posts! does anyone have any patterns that they have designed/stolen from the LotR costumers for elf/hobbit costumes that they can share with the rest of us poor Mooters?

Hey! Now we're only allowed one post every 90 seconds. . .

Oh well. They probably don't want people like me getting so such a high post count

That bunch of jerks? OK, they're not jerks. They're just a bit off time, at least where I live. Plastic plate mail? Gimme a break! Only right way to attain yourself a plate mail is to travel at Prague and buy one from the city's great weaponsmiths. That's the only right way to get any medieval arms or armor. No one else can do them anymore, in right way. And most of their clothes are wrong model too...
Hehh...I got too many Graywolf friends... (they're a Finnish group resembling SCA a bit, but they're total perfectionists in everything).

all right, now i'm glad that i didn't follow up on checking out the local SCA boroughs!! does anyone know how to bow hunt? and can they teach me?

so Prague is the only decent place for weaponsmiths? that's good to know. (hey, my mum's family is from Prague! how cool is that?)

being a perfectionist is not necessarily a bad thing! except when it gets you into trouble with your friends . eruviel, i'm annoyed too! i've taken to playing short games of Minesweeper between posts so that i post almost exactly every 90 seconds. why, oh why could they have not let it remain every 30 seconds???????
