Writewraiths in Middle Earth II: The Kingdom Rebuilt

[Duddun]

His temper began to rise. This person seemed to always have a good point. "I shall ride. Why do you keep trying to call me a dwarf?" He asked.

[Fred Baggins]

I sighed. I had once again, let my good judgements get away from me. "Because Sir, you are," I replied after he mounted, and I started leading Ruell towards the castle.

[Duddun]

He laughed, "You do have an imagination."

[Fred Baggins]

I shrugged. "Very well, you don't have to belive me. But if I where you...I'd be wondering about my height, and unussually fast facial hair growth."

[Duddun]

He felt for his chin, wondering if this man's imagination was right or not. He was started to believe this oddity. What he found was that his chin was buried in a bush of rough hair. Then he looked at his legs, and saw short stubby ones in the place of his old ones. He glared at the 'hobbit', or that's what he called himself. He looked more like a halfling to William. "What devilry is this?" He nearly shouted.

[Fred Baggins]

"Easy Master. It is no devilry, for if it where I certantly would not let it within miles of myself. Indeed it is no devilry, for you have entered Middle-Earth, and meet a hobbit, Halfling if you prefer, but the only difference is the name, and you are a dwarf. Unless this is all a part of your dream. It would be a pity though, for it is a wonderful dream."

[Duddun]

He just snorted and looked forward.

[Lubyla]

I looked at the horse, and walking over, took a cloth to her fur. She cringed not, but nuzzled me. Her hair was as dark as the night, yet light, like twilight. Cleaning her, I thought to myself...Countess will need to know of her, but not yet. I patted her, and swung on her back, hoping she would trust me, which she did."Twilight I name you, if indeed you stay. If Countess approves, you shall be my horse." She snorted at the word Countess. I laughed and led her to the field.

Walking through the woods of the Kingdom, was a black shadow. It approached Freddy, eyes glowing yellow.

[Fred Baggins]

I led the pony into the walls, keepting th figure in my eyesite, then told a servant to take the dwarf to the Empress. I bowed to the dwarf. "I must be going now, but we will meet again. The Empress will explain all to you." Exiting once again, I lead the pony away from the castle. The figure followed me. "What do you want Illali? That is your name, correct. Companion of Starletta?"

[Lubyla]

Illali just kinda gave him a look and nodded."Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Purrrrrrrrrrrrrr *Snarl*"

[Fred Baggins]

"What? Nevermind..."

A black grey and white ball of fur walked through the halls of the Empresses home, looking into homes, and picking up shiny trinkets and coins, sticking them into his velvet bag, and pulling his red velvet mask down once in awhile.


He walked into one room, and scampered onto a table, picking up the coins and trinkets. Something particularrly shiny caught his eyes. Two somethings in fact. He shoved aside a star compact, leaving it tettering on the edge of the table, and picked up the two things, shoving them into his bag, and scampered out th open window.

[Lubyla]

Andodulin walked around the grounds. Running into Illali and Freddy, he smiled. "So panther, who is cast you out This time?"

Illali growled at him, and showed her teeth.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I rode over to Countess. "There is a new horse, she has come from the wild, I ride her now. What do you wish of her?" I hoped she say whatever you want, which would mean i would keep her, but then again, she may want Twilight for her own.

[Fred Baggins]

"She is beautiful. She must not be to wild if you rider her. Very well, put her in the stalls, I shall make her one of my own, or perhaps give her to Kathie," I grined mischivisly, "If she'll have her."

[Lubyla]

I nodded."Aye"I said sadly, and turnned around, twards the stables.

"I was just on my way out, mind me not."

[Fred Baggins]

I snorted, and clenched my hand on the sword at my side, though no one, not even I could see it there. Not yet. "Not mind you? The day that happens is the day your New Power will die, just as your old master did Servant."

*The racoon scampered through the lands to her home, under a wolves fang.*

He nodded to Fred and turned to follow the servant. (ooc: Is silverstripe back?)

[Lubyla]

He sneered, turned into a bird, and left, landing atop of Twilight's head, as she shook him off, just when they entered the stables.

"Andy! What are you doing here? How long have you been here?"

He spoke in the tounge of birds, though I could understand him. "Long enough to see you give up a fine horse to an ignorant person. But enough about that, is there anyway you can meet me tonight? In the wood?"

"Alright, though, when?"

"You shall know when." With that he took off.

"What is wrong with me? This isn't where I belong." I shook my head, turning to Kathie. "Giving orders to my best frined, a lady of the house, as though she where nothing more than a servant. Kathie, go to the Writewraiths. That's where you belong, not with me. Please Kathie. Take Star and little Dawn with you. Leave me, leave this place, go the Kingdom of the Writewraiths." A servant delivered me a message, and in his own 'polite servantly' way pulled me away, but not before I could turn around again. "Please Kathie. Leave."

Later that day, I entered my chambers, exahsted. I smiled to see a velvet red bag on the windowsill. I shifted through it, through the usual trinkets and coins. I pulled one thing out, and smiled. I knew it was something that Empress Calien would want. She had shown it to me, before we even entered the Kingdom five years ago, and told me of it's importance. I slipped the mithril key into my pocket and kept looking. Suddenly I sat down hard, and pulled a charm out my the chain it was on. Lubyla's neaklace. I put that too in my pocket, meaning ot give it to Star later, I knew she would want it. Then I put the purse back on the sill, and went to the bed chamber to lay down.

I pulled back from Faith as she asked me to leave, startled.

Should I listen to her? I wondered. I knew from my experiences in Middle Earth five years ago that Faith Lowe could be a very dangerous person.

Stay with the one called Countess, Alina. She needs you, and Calien needs you there.

I could hear a voice whispering to me; the voice that also speaks to my "mirror," Calien. I knew exactly what it was by now, and it no longer seemed strange to me.

So I would follow the advice I'd just been given. I'd try to stay out of Faith's way, but I would remain with her, or at least nearby. Star didn't seem likely to leave anyway; I didn't know about Dawn.

I read through Elijah's writing again -- he's actually quite a good writer, and counts as a Writewraith. But even though his work was remarkable, I had trouble concentrating on the story.

I kept scolding myself for nearly falling into the same trap with Andodulin that I once had with my brother Mauluk, and later with Faith. I tended to allow others around me, especially older elves and Kin, to influence me too much, and sometimes have chosen my advisors poorly.

I should have known better, after being betrayed by both Mauluk and Faith -- I have to say this was my worst flaw, and perhaps still is. I'm also TOO forgiving. But I would try to take Starletta's advice, and hope I could avoid Andodulin entirely.

I wasn't completely careless, though. For the past five years, I had managed to conceal some things from Andodulin.

Thus, he had no idea that Starlight Adams was actually my blood kin. I doubted he could figure out what that meant even if he did, but I never wanted to take that chance.

[Fred Baggins]

ic: *Mauluk walked into the barn, and bowed to Starlight.* "Lady Starlight, you are wanted, The Lady Dawn is missing again, and your horse skills will be needed." *He was squawked at by Andodulin, and looked surprised* "What is Andodulin doing here? Has he not been forbidden?" *Mauluk lay down, waiting for an answer.*

I woke up in a cold sweet only moments after falling asleep, I had had one of those dreams again. "Curse you Calien! You and your mother, and your grandmother! Forbid that you will ever have the chance to do that to me Calien! You will never put me behind bars! Curse you, and your whole kingdom Empress Calien!" I climbed out of bed--making a mental note to stop taking naps--and went into the other room. Seeing the velvet bag gone reminded me of what was still in my pocket. I dug the key and neacklace out, looking the neacklace in my safe, and stringing the key on a peice of leather, smiling, " No Calien, you will never do that to me. Not while I have this."
There was a knock at the door. "Come in!" I shouted, forgetting myself for a minuet, and who I was "Supposed" to be.
"Countess, the Lady Dawn is gone again."
