You know, the kids who think they're from the Fast and Furious or something and can't even beat a Ford Explorer? Anyway, the coffee can thing comes from the tailpipe they have, which is about the size of a coffee can. "Stickered out" is what my dad and I joke about for making the car faster by covering it in stickers.

There's a guy by my house who does that. THey're not even decals on his car like a normal weirdo would put on, but actual stickers. It reminds me of a lunchbox I used to have in kindergarten.

Another old trick is to carry around a hanky soaked in blood and rubbing alcohol. Boaters who would stow Jews away in their vessels used to evade Nazi dogs that way. They pretended that there was some sickness going around the docks, and whenever a guard would confront them with a dog, they'd pull out their hanky, and the dog would smell the blood and come over to it, and then the alcohol would mess up their noses for a while.

Good ideas Bombadillo and Lotesse, I'll remember that if I ever need to smuggle people or drugs. Erm...

"Stickered out"! I love it Trolls' Bane. Racing stripes make your car go faster. *darts eyes*

We also make fun of the NHRA drivers, because they're supposed to be sponsored by powerade, but they only take a little sip like it's a chore or something.

Look, what a beautiful snowy morning we have over here! (It's our pine tree from my window, btw.) The snow's already melting, probably nothing will be left of it by midday... but anyway, first snow this year.

Yes, I am a lurker again, if only for a short while. *curls up on leroy, not feeling to hot* I love him, a guard, confidant, poker pal, couch, bed and hot water bottle all in one.

Gehhh....

Bombadillo - "a normal weirdo" LOL!!! Great one.

Ricers - ahh, it makes sense now, they're called thusly because the bikes they ride are made in Asian countries - "rice rockets." Shortened 2 "ricers." Hmm.

I've ordered a keg of Pliny the Elder beer for the Teacup Cafe, as per I. Rex's wonderful recommendation. Beer 4 everyone! *pulls frothy glass of beer from the beer tap, pours some into Leroy's Waterford crystal drinking bowl. Dragazzo coolly helps himself to a tiny draft. Everyone chills out on the patio, warm sparkly Hollywood evening under the stars. Suddenly, a kangaroo appears out of nowhere and inexplicably just jumps - BOING - right into the middle of the swimming pool.*

Bloody kangaroos ruin bloody everything!

*Leroy gets up, lopes over to the pool, casually ducks into it, gently retrieves kangaroo at scruff of its neck, and climbs out of pool. Plops wet freaked out kangaroo onto patio.*

Can someone take care of this little kangaroo? I think he got into the absinthe bottle; he's lookin' a liitle agro. *Kangaroo's eyes wiggle around in response.* Yep, this roo's definitely on something.

I wonder where Shah is. You lurkin' around tonight, Shah? I hope you're starting to get better from that flu. My flu mercifully took its leave from me a couple days ago. I think people get better faster in southern California; the weather here has been glorious the past week or so. I've got a treasure trove of amazing sunset photos from the last few days. This evening's display was unbe-friggin'-lieveable.

Well, actually, rice rockets still apply to motorcycles, while ricers is used for the cars.

South Ventura County, actually... (is paranoid about being more specific because she has little kids)

My kids yelled "Mom, come look at the sunset - it's orange and purple!"
