I'll give you "foundationS" since you have foundation.

(Mercy! there IS a letter space after the 'n'!!!)

The speaker is indeed Gandalf. But the quote is not solved yet.

And I probably won't check it for about 1000 years, it's 1:30am and I'm going to sleep. Yes, even Elves need sleep every once in a while.

Actually, I didn't think I really deserved to go next (obviously incomplete, sem-accurate solving), but since it seemed confirmed that the speaker was identified, I thought that on technical grounds I was supposed to.

"thither" is correct. "Yes" is incorrect. But Tuor of Gondolin's has gone.
