Indeed!

But I just realised I mistook this thread for the Photography one. Oh well, nothing a little editing won't fix.

Yayy! So fun!! I got in a car accident. Lucky this was the only injury out of the whole thing. I love that they gave me my xrays on CD. If you don't see it, look toward the middle of the hand, middle finger. I'm typing with one hand and it sucks! But at least I can still play .hack//INFECTION.

Lookee, it's a displaced oblique, possibly spiral, fracture of the 3rd metacarpal shaft. Is your hand loaded with screws now? Maybe a small plate also?

I hope the fracture wasn't as painful as it looks. But thank goodness you didn't get more hurt than this!

Hope you and your hand recover quickly and well

By "spiral" do you mean rotated? The first person (a foot doctor) who looked said it was and I'd need surgery, but the hand doctor said it wasn't. He gave me the choice between having surgery (and screws) or having it heal as it is (it's kind of pushed up on top of itself and 2mm total shorter than it was) and have a small bump on my hand forever. I didn't get the surgery, because he said my movement won't be impaired or anything, and I'll take a little bump (which will match my dad's from when he broke his finger) over surgery, scar, inherent risks in surgery, etc.

It was kind of painful but more just scary. I got a prescription for darvoset but I only got it filled "just in case i want it later" because I didn't need it. Doesn't hurt now unless I bump my middle finger on something. Man I wish I could have you guys sign my cast.

I am so excited. It was pretty cold for not wearing coats and after a while, I was reminded that he didn't like having his pictures taken. But there were several others.

You both appear to be actually quite tall. What are you... about 18' tall? And is he about 24' tall?

It's a good angle. I'm actually less than 5' tall and my fiance is about 6'. It's funny that you would say I appear to be tall... Haha.

Katya, ouch! Get well soon! *virtually signs cast*

Midge, nice pic! Question though: is it normal to take engagement pictures? Do you use them for something like putting them on the invitations, or in the wedding album?

Yes - you had told me before that you were not very tall. This was my attempt at humor.

Very sweet picture, Midge!
And it is a good angle for concealing one's real height ...

It's a very nice picture Midge!

(Is it arranged or spontaneity caught on photo? )

Yeah. I'm planning on putting them in some invitations. I don't know where the practice came from, but I was excited because it was the first pictures that my fiance and I had taken together (other than fluke shots at family gatherings, etc.).

Of course. Well... It's an honor to be mistaken for someone tall! *It was funny, by the way*

Yeah, our photographer is hilarious to watch. He's like, laying down on the nasty, sort-of wet ground with his head tilted a way to get all these angles. I guess you could call that committed?

I think the fact that you can't guess makes it a good picture!
It was arranged. I like that building behind us. There are a lot of abandoned buildings in the downtown area here, which was where we had the pics done.
