Since nearly all the chairs in the council room were filled, Elrond stood. "Welcome to Rivendell. All of you are here, to keep Middle Earth from the hands of Sauron." He sat, and Galadriel stood. "The world is covered in darkness. The sun, moon and stars have been taken by the dark forces in the depths of the earth. What we must do is bring light back to Middle Earth. Without light, darkness prevails." she extended her arms, indicating the darkness in Rivendell. "Even the powers of the elves cannot keep Middle Earth alight. This is why we must ask of you, to bring Silpion and Laurelin to Middle Earth." Galadriel sat, and Astarien shook her head and stood. "But how? Do we just sail to Valinor, and ask of Manwe the hidden lights from those trees? Would the Lord of the Air permit us to take his quenched joy? WOuldn't there be some higher purpose to why Varda has not lit the stars?" I asked everyone in the council. They sat silent, and I sat down.

Our fate is bound to this world. Can we leave it simply to its own? Abandoned and darkened? Its life has not yet run its full course. We still have an obligation to it, we must find light. Without light there can be no life. But no elf can create light. Not even Feänor could for the silmarils held the light of the trees. The light from Valinor may be our only chance."

I sat listening intently. The Star crown of Andorias Glimmering upon it. It was fading, and fading fast. Soon it will be dark. I looked up into the Sky and saw Andorial, one of the only stars left shining in the sky. It was only a small light and that too was fading. I silently cursed sauron and Mordor and continued to listen to the council.

I stood for it was about time I made my little speech.
''The sun and Moon have gone, and I think it unlikely we will ever see them again. Valinor is our only Hope. I second the motion to sail to Valinor. I hope then we will be able to find some Light. There is only one problem. If we get there and if we do find Light, what do we do next? The Dark powers will swarm in on us as soon as we step back on Middle-Earth! And then if we do manage to put The Light somewhere, what chance is there to defend it?! How are we to keep this Light from being destroyed? If we leave will we ever be able to get back to Middle-Earth?!! If there is a Middle-Earth left when we get back!!'' I said this whilst pacing the council circle and waving my hands about at ceratin points. I stopped pacing and looked at Galadriel, Elrond, and the rest of the council for an answer.

"Yes there is," said Andodulin rising. No one had noticed him yet, but now he arose, and they knew him to the full figure. He was the dark elf, the one who slain so many a fair person in the first war.Faithful to his master was he then.But what was one, who was pure evil doing trying to save Middle Earth, and what was he doing alive?!? Lubyla was the one who brought him down. Why was he here?

I stood up, nodding to Andodulin, and Lubyla to translate for me. I knew not who Andodulin was, nor did I care. I senced no evil about him now, or what I did sence was faint. "You are wrong Sir. The sun and the moon CAN, and WILL come back. There is a poem that reads,

"A princess is born,
to the Mirkwood elves,
A princess is bron, our Blessing.
She will carrie the sun and the moon,
and so we will ever have light."

All we need do, is find this Princess, if she lives..." I sat down embarased. I knew I was most likely wrong, that the poem was anceint, or legend only though Mum had always said it was real.

*I sat down, and almost wept. As long as I knew that poem and had remembered it, I flet as though hope still held, but now, no more. I heard, and smelt and felt things in my head, things that said that the princess WAS alive. But should I mention what Galu told me?*

I sat down quikly. Perhaps Lubyla was right, and the princess was dead. But I kept hearing Galu practically shouting that she wasn't. "Sorry." I reached up to finger the neaklace again. I wanted light again. If a dryad does not have light on there 100 birthday it is a known fact they will not live through the night. My 100 was approching and though I wouldn't die, I wanted light so much.
