*3 weeks later* so how's everyone's ears coming? 3 weeks (or is it 4) sure seems so much longer on the Moot! i feel lonely, all my favorite threads have kind of been abandoned!

My ears are good! I wore them to school on my birthday, and people noticed them. 'Twas cool.

There were a little off color, though...I really need to go to a professional make-up artist to help me (my mother, though experienced in stagemakeup, is not quite what I need!).
Yummy. Pointy ears.
So how's the sculpting and whatnot going, Feraway? We wants updateses!

I had my ears in my pocket today, 'cause I forgot about them, so I showed them to some of my friends

But they need to be adjusted in color also. . .

Not good I'm afraid. I scrapped version one because I was screwing them up really badly and I decided to wait until I got my Molding and casting handbook to try again but that hasnt arrived yet (Called them today, hopefuly things are straitened out now) ...rather annoying. BUT I shal keep on trying I spose.

I haven't gone after any yet...busy with costumes and the perfect "tree house" as my brother would call it. It's a talan really. (This talan is strung between three trees, cuz there was no one tree we could put it in. It has hurrican resistent bolts to each tree, so it moves with the trees in the wind or if they grow, rather than against them)

Interesting link, Tessar. But I'm not really inclined to buy from anyone who thinks a sea Elf should have webbed ears. Or a Half-Elf and a High Elf should have different ears.

I know...but it keeps me away from buying them for Tolkien purposes because I am a nit-picker and any little thing that isn't Tolkien-accurate makes me scorn a place compeletely. Just who I am...

The talan my dad did most of because he's an engineer and we have the occasional hurricane and he didn't want it to blow down. It's triangular with a point connected to each tree with a bolt, that like I said, can slide four inches with the wind or if the trees grow. (Which I assume they will.

So now you know what Orlando Bloom and the others with prosthetic ears felt like, always picking off the glue! *yawn* i'm tired, i feel like being pointy eared, so i'm going to do the Galadriel hairstyle tomorrow, the one that makes you look really pointy eared even if ya don't have natural pointy ears like me.

Oh, the other day some completely random person came up to me in the hallway and said "are you an elf? you have pointy ears like one"

i was flattered.
