What's your opinion of Dwarves? - Page 3

Well, as usual you can look at it two ways -- dwarves as characters or dwarves as people you'd want to hang out with. I love them as characters. I would definately want them as friends, but aside from listening to their music, I don't know if I'd have the jolly good time with them that I'd have with elves or hobbits.

Yeah I know Elves would never do something like sell their daughters for a jewel or make unbrakeable oaths about physical wealth... Hey wait a second.

i think dwarfs are cool but its almost sad that they care soo litle about other rases like men and elves

in my mind dwarves have very few redeeming qualities, and i don't really like them! They value material possesions too much.

I don't like dwarves b/c they are too greedy and look down on Elves(I am an elf; almost), although I guess Gimli was okay in Lotr

Again dwarves hardly cornered the market in arrogance. Also I don't think you can just go and classify one race as the "Ultimate fighters" every race (Corporeal, sp? )has pros and cons and different races would come out on top in different situations.

I don't like dwarves. I don't know exactly why... there hate the elves (and I like them, of course), they are greedy, they are clumsy.... I prefer the elves.

Dwarves are okay as people. They are very gruff and might seem unfriendly but on the whole there okay. i don't thinbk I'd like them as friends.

Dwarves aren't that bad. I do like how they're so greedy though. It depends which dwarf you mean. I like Gimli, but not Thorin.
I like Gimli 'cause he's nice to Legolas and Galadriel.

Well, I'm not exactly a big Dwarf fan, but there's an exception to every rule, as they say. I like Gimli and Balin, and Gloin was OK. I find them kind of hard to understand, and they enjoy bragging about their people a bit too much, but they're OK. Hobbits still rock though.
