Speaking of horses, did you all mention that Arwen's horse is called Aselof (sp?) - Glorfindel's horse.
She mutters a few words in elvish (quenya I presume?) during the chase which I assume translates as either 'faster Aselof' or 'go Aselof'.

So that's how she's a warrior Princess, she killed Glorfindel and nabbed his horse. Poor Glorfindel, that's twice he's been killed. And being twatted by Arwen ain't nearly as heroic as killing a balrog...

Oops, just checked, the horse's name is Asfaloth.

I think it's Asfaloth, although in the book it was ridden by Glorfindel.

If you listen to Arwen in the movie, she tells the horse "Noro lim, noro lim, Asfaloth!" as in the book by Glorfindel.

Ah, '_NORO_ lim, Asfaloth'.

My mistake. The translation should read:

'Get your skates on Asfaloth, we're up the creek without a paddle'.

I want Sauron's costume with the Ring and the Black Rider's costume. Gandalf's stuff would be cool too.

If it had to be a prop, then I'd want Legolas's bow and arrows.

I just want Elijah... Would i be able to find him on ebay?...
Anyways, i would want Galadriels dress, or sting, or the one ring, or narsil, or the mithril coat, or the wizards staffs, or the palantir, and i could go on and on and on...

To music of a pipe unseen,
And light of starts was in her hair,
And in her raiment glimmering

There Beren came from mountains cold,
And lost he wandered under leaves,
And where the Elven-river rolled.
He walked alone and sorrowing.
He peered between the hemlock-leaves
And saw in wonder flowers of gold
Upon her mantle and her sleeves,
And her hair like shadow following.

He sought her ever, wandering far
Where leaves or years were thickly strewn,
By light of moon and ray of star
In frosty heavens shivering.
Her mantle glinted in the moon.
And on a hill-top high and far
She danced, and at her feet was strewn
A mist of silver quivering.

Glad to see people are thinking big.
Mithril coat anyone? Worth = Approximately the Shire and all it's contents.

I'm poor, I'd do with a couple of Frodo's short and curlies. Yes, his feet-hair. I'd braid them into a ring.

I doubt I'm too clever for my own good, but I'm definately too weird for EVERYONE's good

Blimey.
He's an English (oh, now I know why you haven't heard of him ) author who's written pretty much the most succesful set of fantasy books of recent history. They are invariably funny and clever (varying from book to book in amounts of each), the later ones are incredibly well written.

Oh and you have a LOT of catching up to do, I think he's well past 20 books now!

To clear up my quote - through much of the story the wizards' library is run by a librarian (shocking eh?) who has been turned into an orangutan by a magic accident. Basically all he ever says is 'ooooook'

He's a cute character - that monkey.
Uh-oh, I shouldn't have called him that....

AARGGGH!

(another Pratchett in-joke, sorry)

Eeek! Eek! Ook!
And what's most interesting, he usually gets his point through with one syllable.
And as librarian, he knows the mysterious L-Space well...

Hmmm....Orlando Bloom? J/K...hehe...

I guess I would like one of the rings, even though that is so unorginal. Gandalf's staff would be wicked! Maybe a palantir. Aragorn's sword. Frodo's sword. Billy Boyd. Oh wait, stop! Ummm....Bilbo's door knob. That cute little vest Frodo wore a lot. Ok, that is enough. I shouldn't be greedy.

Hold on...maybe....Ian McKellen?

I'd have to go for the necklace Arwen gives to Aragon. I Know they make a replica of it, but haven't found it yet...
