Twitter is a bore and half. I got an account on there, and really you just have to be the most obsessed person to use it. Otherwise, the much more relaxed Facebook would be all you needed. *cough cough*

*All politicians, celebrities excused since they are, by definition, self-obsessed to begin with.

Worst thing that has ever happened to your social networking site? I've got a story:

The other day I didn't log off of Facebook and my mom and brother got on it. They changed my status to say that my fiance and I are registered at several places we aren't planning on registering (and we're not registered anywhere yet!), including Don Johnson's Tobacco World. They then proceeded to finish the status with "Save the date! May 31st!" which is the day AFTER I'm getting married.

Some people. Any other stories out there?

If you become friends with them on Facebook, or even a "fan," you will get feed of what they say on Twitter.

Haha, awww, that's priceless .

Nothing bad has ever happened to me on a social networking site... although recently I did de-friend a couple of people I know at school because of how they behaved after a school competition. An instrumentalist, and a soprano, were VERY bitter that they didn't win (there are usually two to three winners for each category [instrumental and vocal] and the winners get to play their piece with a full orchestral backing... it's quite cool) and they were basically saying ON FACEBOOK that the people who won didn't deserve it. I de-friended them and the handful of people that were agreeing with them and egging them on.

I happen to know that the people who won are -extremely- good, so not only was the criticism rude it was also untrue.

That's pretty much the worst thing, but it didn't directly happen to moi so....

Well, you've reached the extent of my knowledge too. And if I didn't happen to find Stephen Fry's Twitter on his website recently, I probably never would have known myself. (And then of course, just as I've found that, Stephen Fry takes a break from twittering. Because that's how it goes. )

Hm, I think one of those fake deaths. Not one I knew personally, just an acquaintance. But then one day her 'sister' apparently guessed her account password and signed in to inform the people there that the person we know was dead. People expressed sympathy and condolances, until a couple of days later a more sceptical person found out that the original poster was not dead at all but posing as a supposed sister for... well, I never did find out, really. Sympathy? Wanting to see what people would say of her when they thought her dead? I dunno. And that introduced me to the 'lovely' concept of fake internet deaths, because apparently this happens frequently enough.

People are weird on the internet.
