Wow, I keep posting here these days

Anyways: my Japanese friend sent me a video of my old chorus performing in a commercial for a regional glasses-store. And in Japan, regional TV is almost watched more often than national TV. Gosh, I'm so happy for them and even happier that my friend thought of sending it to me as well.
Though in truth, I only recognized a few faces. All the people I knew and was friends with, graduated long since.

I'm happy it's almost Christmas, and even though she's sick, my mom is home from work today! Maybe I can get her to play some Guitar Hero! I get to go all the way out to Colorado Springs for next week...

And I had this great dream where my mom and I took this college course which was in the English department, but was actually over fishing. It was funny (I suppose it was because I'd watched Hannah Montana the night before), but Corbin Bleu was in the class as well, and kept hitting on me. It was a pretty funny dream.

Dreams can make or break my day. Haha.

Am I making you feel less alienated for being happy, Mari? Incidentally, I am happy that you are happy!

Well, I got what I really wanted for Christmas... a wonderful, quiet day where everyone was civil to everyone else. I mean I'm happy with my presents, but they weren't really what I was hoping for so badly. I think/hope my family seems to have finally found a little bit of a balance, and that gives me a lot of peace.

I really could not be happier right now.

Ooooh, finally figured out how to fix a lot of that 'foggy' sound in my higher notes, now. It's not perfect, but much, much better.

I'm also excited because it looks like I'll get to take some beginner tap dancing lessons next year. I really wanted jazz dance lessons, since that's what I actually "need", but heck... any dance experience at all will give me a better chance at auditions than 'no experience at all'.

It's the exam you take for grad school in America; the best possible is 800 in both Verbal and Quantitative, so 770 is pretty good. 710 is decent, not spectacular, but I'm not going to do anything with math, so I don't need spectacular.

I splurged after doing so well, and bought a bottle of champagne, strawberries, good bread, a couple great cheeses (cheddar with caramelized onions is SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD!!!), and a box of Trader Joe's Truffles. If any of you folks know Trader Joe's, you know how awesome those are!

Just celebrated with a friend I'm staying with.

Two bottles of champagne in three days; that's not a bad way to live.
