We finally got a kitty! He's small and adorable and friendly. His shelter name is Merry after the hobbit, but it probably won't stay that. He had a brother named Pippin too.

Yay kitties!
Mine is so big now; it's incredibly uncomfortable when he perches on my chest in the morning & digs his claws into my neck, but oh well, he's so cute!

This kitty's 4 years old and he's still pretty tiny. I don't think he'll get much bigger. He sure does like to jump all over you all the time when you're laying in bed though.

And he runs into things sometimes. Like, a lot.

Yeah, pixel does that too. I can't imagine that it's terribly good for his tiny lil' noggin, but sometimes he's so wound up, he just runs into things, lol.

Not nearly as cold as I expected! I was busy running all over SoCal, trying to find things to keep me warm (which is difficult in SoCal), but I was rather disappointed in the weather when I got here. There's very little snow; it's more like spring than winter, though there's a lot less sludge than there could be.

I finally made some major progress with my mom in getting her to realize how to get the sound out of her throat when she sings!

The bad part was that my throat hurt for a while afterwards because I sang a couple of scales, talked, and sang part of a song all from my throat. Like we're talking full-blown veins bulging, face turning red kind of from the throat.

*whiiiiiiiiiiine*

But the important thing is that it worked, so I wont have to do it again.
