Justin, that bottom photo of your dog trotting in the sand is great! And the fishing man; also great. That fishing photo is so good; it's one of those photos you can stare at for a while, and soak it up. I like the bee, too, especially the first picture where he's eating and licking his bee-paws.

Yes; those bee pics are great. And those bug pics to, posted by heem in the Teacup somewhere. I can't do such close-ups with my tiny camera... It's a great thing, though - Olympus. I don't have any serious knowledge about photography, but my pics are decent enough.

Sure, I promised, didn't I? I was just waiting for the pics to upload. Here you go...

I was walking around the old city walls today. Look...

Then I climbed up and started taking pics... view #1 view #2

This was where I climbed up, and this is where I walked away afterwards.

And something else I want to show you: lockets

There are two such little fences, full of lockets. Usually, couples put them there so their love will last long. Or just want to remember they were here together.

I wanted to take pics of our main square as well, but there was a HUGE truck, of a political party... (elections in April.) I couldn't find a spot where the activists weren't in the pic and the sun wasn't shining right into the camera.

Those are great, littleadanel; thank you! You know, actually it would be very interesting to see the political trucks & activists. I like the locket thing, too. Cool!

Well, I've thought a bit about it, GW. I might need some more info. Can you give the focal ratio (f-stop)? I need to know if you can zoom in and out, or just focus it. THEN I will be able to answer you. I looked it up, and a 3x lens would depend on several factors, which I'm not sure about which is which because I keep thinking of the equation used to determing reflecting telescope magnification power. If it means that 3x is the MAXIMUM zoom, then it could be pretty much anything, depending on the lens and the camera. To tell you the truth, I think that is the case. I'll still try and see, but I'm not sure.

Thanks, TB. It does put forth from THREE little circles the final smallest extending the furthest. And then it has a digital zoom as well continuing a short distance after the mechanical zoom stopped moving.

Nice pictures all! I wish I was a good photographer myself. First of all maybe I should get a camera, but I don't think thats the most important.

Pytt, I am NOT a good photographer, that's for sure. I just run around with my precious little Christmas-gift digicam, set in 'auto' mode. I occasionally shift to 'night' mode, but that's all.

And yes, owning a camera is certainly an advantage. An advisable first step.

Heh, maybe I take that advice of yours, littleadanel. But I think I have to sleep on it first anyway. Might be a good time, right now.

Black and white is great, but I find it difficult to find the right subject matter. *searching folders...*

WOW!! Elfearz, you are quite a gifted photographer, I think! You've got a good eye for capturing mood and shapes, and I love that ships' mast in colour; very cool! What kind of equipment do you use?

And Justin, those images are so powerful. I love "Death," well I like them all but that cemetary panorama is interesting. So may new pauper's graves! Chilling. And that horseman is a powerful image, too. I love that, the angle you show us and the sun that the statue is faced into like that.

You know what I wish I could see from you? Pictures of the african penguins. I have a thing for those penguins. They roam around Cape Town at night, looking for trouble; so funny! eating people's stuff, playing in people's yards, and then walking back to the beach come morning. Awesome! I love those guys.

Cool, Grey Wolf! Show us more Sweden scenes, I am wondering if you have those amazing fjords near where you live. What is Sweden like?

Someday when I am independantly roaringly wealthy, I'd ike to visit all these exotic places you guys live; Sydney and Hungary, Norway, Sweden and South Africa, all these amazing places. Someday... *dreams*

Well, Lottie, I'll try to photo as much as possible.

I have in mind of walking around in the neighbourhood and photographing nice nature pics.

Unfortunately, we dont have any fjords nearby, that's closer to Norway.
