I was thinking, what kind of valentine would you send to Smaug? Would there be anyone to send him a valentine? I don't ever remember reading about any female dragons...so I guess there were no baby dragons.
Of course there were, otherwise where have the ones on my shelves come from? Perhaps a fell beast sent a valentine to smaug , hence the many flying steeds of the Ring wraiths!

Bloody brilliant, Spidey. Brilliant.

I'd send a letter to Finrod. But he's married/betrothed himself (twice, if you ask SGH ), so what I'd write on it doesn't really matter. One or the other would surely intercept and destroy it.

Then I'd send one to Maedhros... and I'm sure you'd steal that one yourself, Kellquenti.

So I'd be left sending one to Thingol with a message similar to Spidey's... and I'd make sure that no one came between that and it's destination...

Or, perhaps, Smaug might send some rich guy a secret admirer letter....and then pay him a visit

I'm all or nothing. Love 'em or hate 'em.

No, that's not true exactly, I suppose. I'm kind of ambivalent towards the Fingolfinian crowd...

Alright, House of Feanor, Finarfin, and Elwe: love 'em or hate 'em.

Hands off Maedhros... I almost choked when I read that...

Poor Spidey. You know... Last Child of Ungoliant kind of reminds one of Shelob, who is most certainly female. Hey, don't feel bad. Lief thought I was a 40 year old man, despite my constant Finrod-obsessive posting...

Might have saved Gondolin if it had... Theoretically, at least.

I don't think so. Maeglin was a bad nut to begin with.
