I think the films were as good as they could be.

Adapting a masterpeice would have been no easy task so well done to them in my opinion. Those who hate the films because what they saw on screen didnt match what they had in their head shouldnt critise... why dont you trying adapting it and pleasing all universal Tolkien lovers!

Dont tell me what I cannot do

Two men are on a Island, they both see a "monster", one sees a bright light, and the other sees a dark cloud

My name bares no reference to the music artist.

It won't be easy but you can begin by not cutting out so many stuff and NOT changing the storyline (like Arwen at Rivendell and the Elves at Helms Deep!). And if its too long, too bad. Nothing to do about it.

As my Media Studies tutor said;

"there are three B's in the cinema industry - backside, bladder and bordem."

I think its wise to stick to them... if each film was more than it was there may have been walk outs.

That's too bad. That just mean they're not Tolkien fans. It doesn't have to be longer, it can be devided into more movies (6 would be good) and they could be shown 6 months apart.
