Well, the judging is suppose to be up to the staff, and since FM is part of the staff, he is not eligible to participate, or to win as the case may be.

My favorites so far are Elvengirl, Elbladyne, Elf Girl's Tinuviel tree, and Elemmire, altho I've really enjoyed each one (including Janny's!) They're all so different!

Special award for most piney looking goes to Merry (how do you get those characters?)

Most original - FM

Best ornament effect - Nurvi

This is my seed for the really, truly, guaranteed AWESOME Christmas tee that will sprout and grow (with annual trimmings as needed) into my offering for 20 years from now. This assumes that the earth isn't hit by a comet, asteroid or meteor of sufficient size to disrupt the biosphere.

That's it! Inked you win for best potential Christmas tree.
I expect a final presentation in 20 years.

And thanks Hanza and Rian.

All of them are unique, but my personal favorites are Emblayden's and Rian's.

Why, thank you elvengirl, for my award. I would like to thank my parents and God of course for cooperating to make me! And I would also like to thank my teachers in science for helping learn to think outside the lot! I'll always treasure this award and keep it on my mantle to remind me to grow that tree to the best of my ability for 2 decades from now!

And I would like to thank the Academy for nominating me! The comptetition is truly awesome and I am just honored for inclusion in such a group of really nifty persons who probably are the cat's pajamas in person as well as on Entmoot!

I like your late entry TPTI!

There are some mad spiffy trees in this thread. I think FMs was super cool.

And Ri's is very Christmassy and excellent with a GIANT star! Aww, you like mine. You liked the Swedish letter ornaments?

O Why? j/k

well, I'd be content with it... I didn't expect to recieve any vote anyway, so I can consider myself prizewinner for having received three mentions (although I know they must be kidding me . I think my tree is awful or just "original", as R*an puts it )

FM,

Console yourself with honourable mentions! I got the best seed award (op cit). Of course, if the contest promoter and judges decide such, they can give ribbons for "I tried" and be politically correct in establishing that while "all originality is not created equal", all participants are in fact participants, some are just not as "satisfactorily original"/1 This is still allowed in the USA as of this moment, but I'm not sure about Spain?

thanks for the alt codes, Merry!
*tries it*
Hey, it doesn't work on my keyboard!
That alt-z is truly piney, tho.

TPT - VERY nice! Nice ornaments, and I love that snowman!! The little plus-sign arms are perfect!

Inked -

Nurvi - yes, I thought the little circles above the letters really looked like ornament hangers - very cute
