Olsonm - I actually knew what you were saying. I was basically agreeing with you. I think that's one of the changes I don' t like that Jackson made to Aragorn and Elrond's relationship.

I've said it in previous posts and I know people have not agreed - but I think Jackson liked inventing conflicts that weren't there in the book or at the very least of increasing the amount of conflict between characters.

It's sort of funny though how much he toned down the conflict between Legolas and Gimli - but there wasn't screen time to really go into all that. Off topic - but I wonder how that is going to affect their growing friendship and deep bond in TT and ROTK.

I understand now jd. I'm also curious about that "he has chosen exile" line. I can't think of a way to justify it. Still, I liked the movie (though I personally doubt JRR would have liked it that much).
