I've heard about letting the water for tea sit too but I thought it was for some other reason that I can't quite remember. I already drink green tea almost every day but I think I'll start drinking more too. When I was in Japan, cold green tea out of a bottle was just as common as water. It takes some getting used to having it cold, but I like it.

I like making green tea. And doing the teaceremony.
Oh, who am I kidding, I love the Japanese sweets that go with it most

Green tea cold is pretty good, but nothing beats having cold mint tea!

How 'bout a cold mint julep? Mmm... Or a cold mojito. Also awesome.

Maybe as far as cold teas go. I'm having a cup of hot mint tea now, which beats its cold counterpart by far

Oh look, here I am in the Teacup thread, procrastinating again. I'm supposed to be working on a paper on hypoglycemia, although I have no idea so far as to what to write. Frustrating!

And more frustrating is the fact that reading on the subject always makes me hungry

Tell me about it. I have to write a paper on Johan Georg Hamann and his influence on Kierkegaard for tomorrow's class.

Reading for it just makes me want to go out and live experience.

Well, going out to live experience is less fattening than going for a snack every once in a while

It's due tomorrow already? Then you're worse off than me, at least I have ten days, and I have another student working on the project with me.
But then we have to present our product not only to my peers, but to all the super-specialised metabolic doctors at the surgery where we're currently based. The doctors persist in telling us how much they're looking forward to our presentation! Like, thanks for the extra pressure

Ah, no, don't worry, you're worse of than me. Mine is only a 500 word thing. This classes prof is having us do one or two short papers every week.

In other news, I went to check out the Aldo outlet today. So great, I nearly bought three pairs of shoes.

Well, when you really want something, you really want it. I got lucky, though, because if that link had been like, 12th on Google, I probably wouldn't have found it.

Yeah, my iPod is on its last leg. I was given it for my birthday two years ago and it holds a full charge for maybe 5 hours. *sigh* I doubt my parents shopped around for it, either. My parents are slowly but surely turning to the dark side of Apple. For instance, after the aforementioned computer crash, my dad went to Best Buy to see if they could help fix it and came home a week later with a brand-new iMac. Not one repairman looked at our old computer. Like, it was almost just an impulse buy. I came home one day and my mom's like, "Your dad bought an iMac!" I thought she was joking till I saw the monster downstairs.

My fiance had a Creative Zen - and I was always jealous of that. Plus you can stick with ONLY Windows Media Player - no iTunes for you!

Mine is still going strong, although I'm somewhat disappointed they stopped making the model. It's not even three years old! It's handy that I don't have to use iTunes for it, while I still can put music on it that comes from iTunes.

From a website whose name I shall keep secret, I have placed an order for LotR, The Sil, and other Tolkien books for a sinfully cheap price.

So excited!!

And yes, I do need more versions. My paperbacks are all falling apart or are too old and crispy to read.

My LotR is the Alan Lee illustrated edition. My Sil is the first American edition hardcover.

My Hobbit's just a little paperback, though.

Most of my Tolkien paperbacks are the covers released a year or so before FotR came out. They have the wonderful cover paintings by Ted Naismith. It's a shame they don't sell those anymore. Instead we get the movie covers which...just aren't that appealing.

My Hobbit is the illustrated version, my Silmarillion is just a paperback, and my LoTR is a one-book-edition with a movie cover. However, my Dutch LoTR has a nice white cover with golden lettering and an illustration I think from the man himself.

Funny how you can tell us Tolkien-fans apart. We compare our book-editions like another would compare cars.

Just had a phone call from someone I met recently and exchanged messages with. Oh my gosh, he has this horrible upscale accent! >_<
It was kinda awkward too, but nice. And weird.

I love my sansa clip. I just put the files right onto it, right off of it. No extra programs necessary. Also I prefer not having the spin touch wheel thing, especially for running.

I made tea this morning and forgot it in the car. Le sad. I don't really like mint tea or jasmine tea, but I LOVE mint in general and I like most other kinds of tea. Jasmine tea I'll only drink at Chinese restaurant occasionally.
