I hate to say it but, I told you so. LOL! Pretty good books aren't they.

I'm learning C++ right now. I also plan to learn Java, but I think I'm going to try to learn it on my own. I have a whole list of languages I think I need to learn.

I hope you can find time to read them. You will not be disappointed.

Don't make me come over there and slap you silly with a fluffy yellow duck!

I read book number 2 a while ago, and I didn't find it as good as the first one. Do they pick up or does it continue in much the same vein? See, what I found appealing about the first one wasn't so much the crime stuff (I can get my crime fix from Cornwell after all), but more the hilariously funny situations which didn't seem as rampant in the second tome.

Okay, these are seriously addictive... I read number three the other day, number four yesterday, and number five today, and I have number six in my hot lil' sweaty hands right now...

Yeah... well... I told you so.

I'm waiting for my roommate's mother to finish with #9 so I can get it and read it.

AHA!!! Do you know for sure that 10 is expected in June of this summer? If so, there's your answer BoP.

I've never visited NJ, only flew in to the airport once, which means.. I really never saw NJ. I've heard the beaches are really pretty, and there are a lot of historic sites. Someday, perhaps I'll visit NJ.

I'm a Jersey girl myself and I love these books. When does nine come out in paperback for cheap people like me?

speaking as a library employee ( ) paperbacks usually come out about a year after the hard cover edition comes out. so, maybe in june or july? i'm not sure.

wow! this thread hasn't been alive in a while...

yay! it's out! i just finished it yesterday! (it only took me a day to read lol ) it was sooo good! one of my three favs- now they are:
~ Hot Six
~Hard Eight
~Ten Big Ones

i thought nine was kinda bad; it seemed...i dunno- forced, i guess is the word. just not in character with the other books. this one was back to normal though- awesome!

Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I went down the road to pick up my marked proposal (an A baby!), and the new supermarket downtown to pick up some more cranberry juice, but by the time I'd done all those things, I was all whacked out, with my cold, so I went home. Oh well, new bookstore opening tomorrow, so I'll check it out then!

Well, I finally bought it yesterday (and won a free book!). The overall impression? Not as good as the first few. The first ones were brilliantly, hilariously funny, oftentimes irrepressible. This one? Still pretty damned readable, but it's obvious that Evanovich is running out of storylines. And whilst I got a quiet giggle (at 4am) reading about how Sally saved her butt in a dress and uzi, well.... it just tried *too* hard. Still and engrossing read though. I pulled an all-nighter trying to finish it. 7/10 for readibility.
