Does anyone know what her alias Dernhelm means?

She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight.

'Dern Helm"

Culled from Entmoot From Kirinski 57 and Wayfarer.

There are a total of seven Dwarf houses.

1) Longbeards

2)Firebeards

3)Broadbeams

4) Ironfist

5) Stiffbeards

6)Blacklocks

7) Stonefoots

I think that the Dwarves that we usually deal with are Long Beaerds.

Here I on picture I think would be a good example of a Dwarf from another house

Why couldn't they be proportionally short with just thickness?
To add to this sort of what PJ did in the Movies. They are propotionally the same. ( Hobbits and Dwarves) just smaller in height.

That;s just a name I came up with.

I want to see a cross between a hobbit/dwarf and a human/elf...

Somewhere I read a fanfic that featured a love affair between Bilbo and a dwarf lass. The result was a sterile mule daughter whose foothair wouldn't stop growing......I wish I could remember where I saw that...anyone know?

oops! I meant to add this to the dwarf hobbit union thread

No not at all. Just I thought for gaming purposes to contrast a House or two of the Longbeards. So it would just be a nickname given to another House.
