I'd like to make some experimental movies, both live action and animated. I wanted to be a filmmaker at one point, but the colleges that had good programs were too expensive.
I'd also like to do some movie adaptations of books (ones that haven't been done already).

I think positive movies are good because I think we tend to reflect the mood of what we are exposed to -- listening to positive music, watching comedies or good-over-evil movies, etc., makes most people have a more positive outlook, even if subconsiously. Kind of like the old "you'll have nightmares if you watch a scary movie" thing. You are what you eat. That's why it's so depressing to watch the news. But certainly sad and disturbing movies have their place, as well as movies with a message that don't have a happy ending. There are plenty in this category that are well worth watching. It depends on how well they're made.

Darn my parent's limited internet access! Give my back my LAN! I can't wait to move back to Canada!

Anyway. I just re-read The Light Princess by George Macdonald. If you never read another fairytale again, read that one. This really does have relevance to the topic, b/c I was just thinking (as I finished the story this afternoon) that I would love to see a movie made of this story. I'm not sick of fairytales, and I'll keep my happy endings.

but not all the time. I also love movies that make you think. "Magnolia" didn't have a happy ending, plus I hate Tom Cruise, but htat was still a really awesome movie.

I'd make something like "Dead Poet's Society" or "Patch Adams." I love really inspirational movies. I cry...Oh well.
I would also love to make a geniunely scary things like "The Others" and "The Sixth Sense" It would be overly exciting!

Historical epics would be my thing, with stunning visual recreations of the past, as well as in-depth character analyses of famous figures.

And musicals. Musicals, musicals, musicals! I love'em!

Musicals? I hate musicals with a passion. When's the last time you were just walking down the street and saw a group of people get up and break into song and dance, syncronized and on the same beat, no less?

Incidently, my mom loves 'The Sound of Music', so my brother and sister and I gave in last year and bought it for her for Christmas with one stipulation -- she can't watch it if anyone else is in the house to hear it! Aren't I terrible?

Anyway, what were we talking about? Oh yeah, movies. Well, I like porn and I like 'splosions, so why not put two good things together? That hasn't been done before, has it? I could call it '!Explorno!'
