As you will, but everything in The Silmarillion can really be found in the History of Middle-earth (though not to the point of redundance). The Sil is after all made up of many different texts, notes and essays, from different time periods.

yeah forget that post Nolendil, i'm about to delete it. I posted that b4 i read your other post on "are orcs immortal?" And now i have a better idea of the HoME series. I had at that point thought that Christopher wrote the books entirely. Excuse my ignorance.
