Well, we're still looking at the quote out of context, so we can't really tell at this time.

I believe the exact quote is, "The quest will claim his life."

I saw the whole article before it was removed, but I've confirmed that it was legit. The image was of Aragorn and Arwen in what looked like a cave(I can't be sure though, the focus was not on the background). They were sitting, and Arwen's back was to us. The pic was cut off just above her hips, but her back was completely visible. Her hands were on Aragorn's arms, and the top of his shirt was down. They were kissing, and she looked to be in the process of pulling his shirt down. One of his hands was on her back, and the other was below the image, I can only assume on her behind. The article was about the romance and how PJ has chosen to make it more literal. My source said the article was published now by mistake, and it's supposed to come out in a few months once rumor of this scene has hit the net, so folks aren't so shocked by it.

You saw it too - I was beginning to think I was imagining things. I didn't want to say too much about it on here - I wanted to see if someone would come back and describe it to me. I didn't want anyone coming back and just saying they saw it if they didn't. But that's exactly what i saw too. I guess now it's out.

By the way - I couldn't read the whole article because my computer crashed, but I was wondering if it mentioned whether the scene is in TT or RotK.

I really really hope what you described is not true, Tater. Although I would not mind seeing Aragorn without a shirt.

I'm pretty sure the scene is in TT since the article said it took place when she brought him the sword reforged.

I am getting really annoyed at all this now. Now I have to pray to Eru that there will be a scouring and Arwen and Aragorn wont **** on screen. If I see that scene, I will say things which I am not allowed to say on Entmoot. Many people will be angry (like me) if it happens. OK I have to go and calm down now.

Arwen Undomiel

er, i suppose i am the only one who doesn't mind the aragorn/ arwen thing right? [maybe i should change my location thingy so you can't come after me with pointy weapons.] and that's not just becuase i have absolutely no quams about seeing aragorn sans shirt [although.....] just think p.j made a marketing decision. same with lucas having love in clones, pj wants to attract more people to his fil, not just the tolkien freaks [i mean that in a good way, god this isn't going well] who will go and see it anyway.

mind you, i doubt the elves are the kind of people who believe in $ex before marriage. am i allowed to say that word.

as i said before, would appricate minium of hate mail, thanks wink to show am not entirely bad. honest.

From my previous post I have made my feelings clear. If you want to see that kind of stuff, go see a porno movie, not LOTR. Anyway, Elrond wouldn't be too happy since Aragorn isn't king yet. I hope Aragorn doesn't marry Arwen cause he got her pregnant.

Strider good point

hmmm good point. have revealed self to be disgusting and well, disgusting i guess.

all these posts are pretty pointless though, coz even with my arguements i'll put down a considerable amount of money [well 5p] that we will see no love scene between aragorn and arwen in two towers, or RotK. i don't recon pj would do that.

and despite all aragorn/ shirt comments, i hope he doesn't.

Strider

i never went to see american pie, 1 or 2 becuase i was disgusted by all the adverts.

am not perv although i admit i may have come off that way.

horrified by self.

do not think there should be aragorn and arwen $ex scene [am i allowed to say that or i will i be blocked? who cares i am already loathed ] but i agree with my earlier comments which sounded bad but where there for a reason, i think it is good that the female roles are expanded. not just for marketing purposes but for story, it is nicer to get to know arwen first before she just shows up and marries aragorn.

i am v sorry if i have made anyone want to commit suicide or kill me, either way very sorry. i didn't mean it the way it came out.

That's disgusting. If Tolkien knew about this, he would do backflips in his grave. I'm serious! If people took my G rated book and made it R rated...well, you get the point...(I'm a writer, btw)

I think maybe theres a bit of overreaction here , PJ has not let us down before, so why would he now.Any changes he has made have in my own humble opinion been in the ' flavour ' of the rings , so im sure he will not have Aragorn and Arwen swinging off a chandelier. If it is tastefully done and just shows love , affection and a bit of daringdo , and not full frontals , then I dont have a problem. Are people more concerned with a bit of flesh than the hundreds and thousands of deaths depicted - maybe that says something about society today. O.k its not in the books , but this is a movie , and as such certain changes will be made , if it catered for us freaks only , we would still criticise about the colour of someones hair or the length of someones sword - trust in PJ !
