OOPS
I erred. I was thinking of the Star Wars Universe and the question was about the Empire

I have lost all respect for all of you. No one has managed to mention Tom Bombadil in any of your pointless posts. I hereby declare that Tom Bombadil would single-handedly destroy every Tie fighter, storm trooper, or nimrod in a big red helmet that the empire has to offer.

Did you know that the word Endor means Middle-Earth in Quenyan? Apparently the Empire already had its tendrils coursing through the realm of Middle-Earth, but was thwarted by the heroes viewed in the star wars movies.
Obviously this is the end of the third age, and the ewoks are distant relatives of the hobbits, cross-breeded with the common woodchuck. The humans, besides Han, Luke, Leia and their crew, are merely hiding in the dense forests [Ghan-buri-Ghan and the Wild Men (that would make a good band name)]. Of course, the elves are nearly extinct and are far too crafty for the stormtroopers. [tap him on the shoulder and run the other way... it works every time] The dwarves seem to be imprisoned within the depths of the shield generator, digging ever deeper for the wicked empire. The hobbits are chilling in their Smials. After the explosion, they all came out and partied, except for the dwarves... they're toast; and the elves took off in a spaceship. It explains everything! Middle-Earth won in Star Wars, too. Boy, that was fun... let's do it again sometime. |

Whoops. I think that should be "cross-bred" instead of "cross-breeded". It's rather disturbing either way.

Now, now... they could have been cloned, you know... I should have mentioned that...
Interesting theory, no?

Cloning produces duplicates of the origional. You couldn't get a non-hobbit from cloning no matter how hard you try. If you did somehow, then it wouldn't be called cloning. It maybe could be done with some form of genetic engeneering, but it would take some serious effort to get a hobbit crossed with a woodchuck. It would be fun to do if you could find a way to get it to work.

Picky, picky... of course, that's what I meant by cloning... I didn't exactly know how it would go about being done. I suppose artificial insemination would be the applicable term, but cloning is understood by most people, and I think it got the point across.
No one has commented on the theory! Just how dirty or incongruent the details are...

I will be nice and not tear that one apart. You are right. Sometimes understandability is more imporntant that making sure that everything is correct. I suppose it could happen, although it would take a lot to make the hobbits abandon their way of life to go and live in the trees. Especially since woodchucks also live in holes in the ground. Maybe it is some ofshoot of the hobbits that likes to live in trees, or maybe the old forest expanded to all of the Shire and only the ones that could adapt still lived.

Maybe I was just trying to get a laugh... I had read that "Endor" really does mean Middle-Earth in Quenyan and the rest just sprung out from there.
Hey, it could happen just as I said... if we weren't talking about two totally fictional worlds here...

If after the explosion they all came out and partied, would the elves fly off in a spaceship? If there was beer and wine would you? Would they be able to fly a spaceship?
Sorry to pick holes in your theory, i thought it was a good one.

It's sooooo silly, I didn't think that any one would take it for more than a farce. The Quenyan is right, though, and like I said: the rest just sprung out from there.

Middle Earth would whup the Galactic Empire any old day. I'm biased though. But just think about it: Eru, the Valar, The Maiar, the Elves, the Numenoreans, all versus Storm Troopers and Darth Vadar... the Empire wouldn't have a chance.

Oops. I just remembered that Valinor and Numenor aren't technically part of Middle Earth. (I think.) That takes out the Valar
and the Numenoreans (exept the remnant that went to Middle Earth.) Oh well. Middle Earth would still win.

Since the Galactic Empire is more technologically advanced, and has star destroyers, and Death stars, I think I'm going with the evil Emperor, and Darth Vader. I mean, come on, he could wipe out the entire of middle earth with one laser blast! Besides, Stormtrooper outfits are so much cooler than traditional ME battlewear...

Winning
I think Illuvatar would just have to frown at the Emperor and he would wither away and die :P
