Well spotted (or heard).
I'm sure it's intentional.

A lot of the music and architecture is drawn from old Britain and the conquerors etc who made up our history.

THere's some Nordic leanings 'n stuff as well if I recall.
Probably a few other cultures closely related to GB too.

incase some of u super ent administrators have forgotten, some of us are still quite new to the world of entmooting and so thses threads do not seem old.
i personally love the soundtrack and listen to it all the time.
favourite track=1.may it be(is in the credits but everyones walking out so they don't hear it)
2.council of elrond(aniron)
3.bridge of khazad dum(i actually cried at the end)
they r all great though!

"May It Be" is played right after they escape Moria and the hobbits are crying and want to rest and mourn, and Boromir says to let them grieve when Aragorn wants to move on. If you listen you'll hear it.
